I still don't see the downside in Green. He seemed to be really developing early in his career and had a strong 2nd season. He averaged 16.5 ppg, shot 45% from the field, shot 39% from the 3-pt line, and shot nearly 80% on free throws. The next season his shooting percentages dropped across the board as the volume of outside shots increased. He took more 3's & shot less free throws. Not coincidentally, this occurred alongside the emergence of Westbrook as a scoring option. It seems like Green became more of a catch & shoot guy which just isn't his game. The stats show he's at his best when he's attacking more and not just standing around. From his G'town days I always thought he's be a great point forward and in that role he might be able to get back on track here.
On top of that hes a young vet who's mature, won't force shots, will make the extra pass, and will fit into a team concept. His ability to initiate the offense from the forward position will also give John the opportunity to attack more and not feel the entire burden of getting everyone involved. If you draft a PF and sign Green to play the 3, I just don't see the downside. Between Singleton, Green, Vesely, and out first rd pick who I'm hoping will be Robinson

, we'll be set with our forwards.
