The biggest thing he needs to improve is his strength. He's getting pushed around and his defensive rebounding suffers a lot because of it. I think the team will be worse at rebounding when he is on the floor until he gains strength.
I love how he seems to be a great teammate. Always high fiving everyone, and everyone seems to respond to him.
Maybe he should hang out with Dray so he can add some Neck Fat. He is clearly playing PF mainly.
Again, I really like how he gets after things. The kid has a motor. Always setting the next pick for this teammates. And he is a willing passer. Super Glue is my name for him. Those that remember a young Dray, he actually does some similar things. He sees the court well. He passes. And he is quick(yes, Dray was quick). He has a feel for the game. He scraps around the basket. But he is way more athletic, has leaps, and has a better motor. And the best thing is he has a better personality. He is more experience coming into the league and I don't think he will be a knuckhead.
Seems conventional wisdom has failed. Has this kid even played one minute of SF ? The more I watch him play, the less I see that happening. He is getting minutes at PF and amazingly even some center. So if he is paying PF/C and KS plays the same with McGee at C and Booker as a PF, that starts to fill up the shed. They need to play these guys a lot of minutes this year so we can better see what they have. And we still need to see Hamady eventually also.
I wouldn't be surprised by any move this team makes come the trade deadline but if these players stick, they need to add a star SF who can score and defend, and more SGs - specially if Nick is gone.
Booker is the one getting squeezed by Ves at PF because Dray and Lewis are getting minutes there right now. They need to move Dray to center so they can be more athletic. Right now it is more.
Wall/Mack
Nick/Crawford/Mason
Lewis/Singleton/Nick
Dray/Ves/Booker
McGee/KS/Dray
Dray and McGee is bad. Lewis, Dray and McGee is terrible.
I would rather see
Wall/Mack
Nick/Crawford/Mason
Singleton/Lewis/Nick
Ves/KS/Booker
McGee/Dray/KS
Get the young kid out there and let them play with energy, defense and better pick setting. The biggest thing missing right now is a defensive 3 that can hit from range. Let Ves, KS and Booker battle for the starting PF spot. But man, if Singleton could find a reliable mid range and 3 ball, that would really help those line ups. With Ves, KS and Booker setting screen, maybe he could spot up better. He is supposed to be a decent outside shot with his feet set.
