Rudy Gay is a good comparison and if he does pan out that way, I think we have a huge steal on our hands. I don't see a 1a-type scorer in the draft so i'll gladly take a 1b

Would it be out of question to say Quincy Miller can end up becoming a poor man's KD? :o :D

If he ends up being drafted by us, statements like these will become the norm

Lol Let's not get too carried away now. I like the Gay comparison though. I just hope BC makes a big move soon.

How likely is it that Nerlens Noel has a better defensive season than Davis? I'm thinking as great as Davis' season has been, it's definitely possible. Nerlens is a defensive monster!

A guy I think we could consider a lottery talent that solves a lot of our guard problems could be Tony Wroten. I like his size and skill as a big PG. I see him somwhere between Iman Shumpert to a Tyreke Evans. He is picking up steam lately and his stats reflect it:

17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 3.0 personal fouls, 4.0 turnovers. Needs to work on his playmaking but he was known as a good passer in high school. He just has to figure things out better and has been lately.

I've had my eye on Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten since I first heard of them. Those two are going to be pretty good players (assuming they get a chance to develop, get a coach that's conducive to their style of play etc). I see a lot of Jason Richardson in Terrence Ross and a Tyreke Evans -lite type player in Wroten. He can get to rim at will, rebounds pretty well for a PG but what I like about him the most is his size, speed and defensive potential. I think if we're lucky enough to draft him, he would be a really pleasant surprise for us. He needs to work on his shooting and his turnovers though.

Ross is a great scorer. A very good scorer. Can shoot it, drive it, finish in traffic. He's also a pretty good athlete and can make a good pass here or there as well. Assuming he can be taught and is willing to learn to play better D, he could be an NBA starter. He's not a great ball-handler though.

I've been calling it from I watched him. He's going to a stud.

Actually I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that somewhere between 3-5 studs will come from this draft

I can't wait to see Barnes in the tourney, hope he's as clutched as last year bringing the game back when they're down by 10, score game-winning shots and scoring 40 points (doubt he can do that again but that game was insane). I'm getting bored of these inferior competitions right now...just a month and abit more, March Madness baby! We get to see what these lottery prospects can do. And I have a feeling Davis and MKG would lead their team to the final 4.

Don't count too much on the tourney. Round 1 is a cupcake, round 2 is usually a good team but sill an 8-9 seed, and by the time round round comes around anything can happen.

UK and UNC have had weak conference schedules to date in not too deep conferences - but their schedules are back ended. UK still has Florida twice, Vandy twice, and at Miss St, and the SEC tourney. UNC still has Duke twice, and I assume a game or two still agianst Virginia and or Florida St.- also add the ACC tourney.

Even UConn is back ended, with Syracuse and Louisville both on the sched two more times -- and then of course the Big East tourney which is an amazzing event.

Point being there are many good matchups before the tourney, that will be better then anything these teams face until the in the round of 64 or even 32. But I agree, what they have faced in January is underwhelming.

Tony Wroten = Washington Wizard type player.
Do not want.
Stats are also inflated a bit by pace, and the fact that the Huskies are a young team in which Wroten is given free reign.

I don't really have a strong like or dislike for many players in the draft, so I trust the scouts and GM to make the right choice, But there are always a few players in each draft I absolutely do not want -- and Tony Wroten is at the top of the list.

will be happy with any one of these:

- DeRozan/Barnes

- DeRozan/MKG

- Lamb/DeRozan

- Beal/ Derozan

your pick:

PG - Jose Calderon

SG - Bradly Beal

SF - DeMar DeRozan

PF - Andrea Bargnani

C - Jonas Valanciunas

Bench: James Jonhson, Amir Johnson, Ed Davis, Linas Klezia, Gary Forbes

Free Agents: Jerryd Bayless, Leandro Barbosa, Sonny Weems

If they bring those 3 back it would be a solid team but still want one of either Barnes/ MKG.

Val/Bargs/Barnes or Val/Bargs/MKG would give the Raps a young 3-5 with tons of potential. Then you consider you have Amir Johnson, Ed Davis, Linas Klezia & James Johnson as backups and it looks amazing on paper.

thats why i like beal over hb, im not entirely sure i'd have the guts to take him over hb but the kid has tremendous tools to be a very very productive player.

Hes like a mix of allen and wade, less explosive than wade and not the shooter allen is but the way he plays is like a hybrid. (not saying hes gonna be a HOF'r)
