Not sure what you mean by this.

Is ESPN saying that there have been talks between the Magic and GS?

I thought us board losers post stuff and media members publish them. In any case, i watched the segment and it is one of those situations that could make sense if you really try.

I am not in favor of getting ellis if dwight is gone. BUT that can all change if ellis or lee nets us a good return, such as a top 3 draft pick.

With these rumors of Nash .. Imagine if Otis could pull this off:

Nash/JR Smith/Turk/Ryan/Dwight

That team can make a lot more noise in the Playoffs than our current team

I also don't understand why people don't like JR Smith .. He's a very athletic scorer and a lot younger (& better) than JRich IMO

Sure, he's done some crazy things. But playing in this team in a winning situation would make him do less crazy things I think

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/75696 ... ward-trade

Sorry if it was already posted, but this article goes through some actual trade scenarios that make sense for the most part. I like the last trade the most. Everyone has said we could flip gasol to houston, but that the lakers dont want to give up both bynum and gasol for Dwight.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7v2hqlk

To Los Angeles: Dwight Howard, Luis Scola, Jameer Nelson
To Houston: Pau Gasol, Matt Barnes, LAL first-round pick
To Orlando: Andrew Bynum, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Chandler Parsons

In this case however, the lakers get a reasonable replacement for pau in scola and an upgrade at pg with jameer as well. That sweetens the deal enough in my opinion.

As for the Magic, I think Dragic is a future star that's been relegated to the bench (and in turn his development slowed) thanks to kyle lowry's emergence. Martin gives us a good shooter who can also slash and get to the foul line. Parsons is a young piece who has shown some promise as a potential point forward and turk replacement down the road. Finally, Bynum is the stud center that can keep us a contender.

I will HATE to see Dwight in a Lakers uniform, but as kobe has gotten older, he has become more of a liability for that team than an asset. And between Kobe and Dwight's contracts, they won't have cap space for a long time. I truly don't believe they would come out of the west (especially with Dwight's arch nemesis in Perkins out west now... with the best team in the west).

Man, where would JR Smith even play on this team. He is not what we need.

Would JR Smith be happy playing behind JRich, JJ, Hedo, QRich, Wafer ??? He would hate it here. I wonder why JR Smith has been a career backup for 6 years now in the NBA. . .

This team needs another Big more than anything, not another backup wing.

Ramon Sessions stat line for the past 3 games, since starting in lieu of Kyrie Irving's injury:
2/8 v. LAC: 24 pts, 1 stl, 1 blk, 13 assts, 2 reb, 3 to's, 9/16 fg's
2/10 v. MIL: 12 pts, 16 assts, 5 rebs, 5 to's, 4/16 fg's
2/11 v. PHI: 19 pts, 1 stl, 8 assts, 2 rebs, 3 to's, 8/15 fg's

I've been monitoring Sessions' production (mainly because he's had really great games for my fantasy team), and he seems to be a player that is just waiting to get his opportunity to take over a team, comparable to Kyle Lowry and Lin. In 3 starts, he's played exceptionally well. I know he had a 4-16 shooting night, but he still managed to drop 16 dimes. If the Magic are serious about improving the team around Dwight, they have to do it with minor steps and tweaks. Sessions is a purer point than Jameer and would be a nice upgrade at PG.

I would love to have Sessions over Meer. Someone that can dish more than shoot. Droool.

This is even though I am a Meer fan, but he just doesn't fit this system anymore since there are soo many scorers here already.

Dear Lord, 16 ast?

I'm down. I've known he was a talent for a while, but I didn't know he was this good.....

What would we have to give up for him?

The Cavs know how valuable of an asset Sessions is to them. A lot of teams are looking for point guards that can pass and control the tempo of the game. They will certainly trade him at some point, but they'll be expecting a nice return. If we were to trade Dwight, I would try to involve the Cavs in that multi-team trade to land Sessions (and Jamison's contract, but that's a stretch). He'd be a great point guard to rebuild with. Playing behind Kyrie, you can tell in games he's just dying to get more minutes. He has the skill and talent.

We got TPE's if they're interested in that.
If I were the Lakers, I'd be pursuing Sessions instead of Arenas.
