Not eliminated for certain, but Rytas now goes through to the Eurocup quarter finals (elite 8). One other team from that group will go through with Rytas, likely Kuban (Krasnador, Russia)

Should be Chimki, and in my book they are the best team in Eurocup with former Rytas headcoach Kurtinaitis.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

It looks like Rytas won their group on points advantage over Lokomotiv Kuban who finished second. It looks like Rytas will play BC Khimki who finished second on points difference in Group J in the quarter finals. They are played on March 20th and March 27th.

Thats good indeed, cuz Donetsk is weaker than Khimki by a considerable margin IMO.

Well, Donetsk did play a good basketball, but Rytas is a superior team IMO.

Rub this game in Johnlac's face. Jonas finished it strong, bounce pass to Seibutis was sweet.

I'm not familiar with the Eurocup...does that include teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, etc??

+1

If a basketball commentator is British, he sucks. Period.

Ha, British commentators sucks so bad. They truly barely understands basketball and always compares it to Football... Way better than Lithuanian ones tho.

Like Canadian commentators always using hockey analogies.

You won't hear a british commentator saying anything like "player X crosses over, drives the lane and scores with the pretty finger roll". It's usually "YES!!......2 points, how on earth did he just do that?"

No, Real and Barca are Euroleague teams - the highest level. This is one level down, but Rytas would be better than some Euroleague teams, just not as good as Real, Barca, CSKA Moscow, Panathanaikos, etc. Those are among the big fish of European basketball and always in Euroleague.

Rytas also plays in the VTB league which does have a couple of Euroleague teams, including CSKA, Asseco Prokom (whom they beat) and Lithuanian arch-rival Zalgiris.

Rytas has a decent chance to make the final four of Eurocup, and a decent chance to qualify for the playoffs in VTB. They have a bit of hope of winning Eurocup, if they have a really good playoff run, but winning VTB would be a major long-shot.

British basketball commentators are really funny. They do have hard times, and assumes their listeners are also not really familiar with basketball. Something happens and they always say smth. like this.

''If you not familiar with the rules...'' and then they stop, stall, cause they have no idea what the hell happened...
10 seconds later, they explains it. and then compares that particular incident, rule or call to Football. Thats hilarious.

Mefisto, Rytas won't play Budivelnyk, they will play Doneck, that's 2 different teams.

Jonas really helped out Rytas in second half.

That's because there are no British commentators!
