But somehow, I bet he doesn't understand that he did anything wrong.
This is by far my biggest question about McGee. He should be embarrassed to show his face after that foul. I suspect that instead, he is grumbling about sitting, being singled out, etc.
It looks to me like he could be SO effective if he would simply listen and do what his coaches tell him. I had hoped that a new coach, new system next year might help with a breakthrough, but I really doubt it. I'd still offer the 1-year tender, plus a discounted longer-term deal (maybe up to $7M per?), but that's about it until he shows some ability to listen and process how to play the game of basketball.
