You do realize Shaq and Barkley were the GMs right??? Shaq had 4 or 5 PGs.....

What's ur point? Wall was picked 12th!! He sucks. I could tell right from Kentucky he wasn't gonna be good in the league. Kyrie however is so much quicker and smarter and can actually shoot. He knows how to win games as well
Main point kyrie>wall
Cavs role players<wiz role players

What this team really needs is someone who can run pick and rolls with Dwight to perfection, find open shooters and hit threes himself. Jameer just isn't good enough at this anymore. But there is a certain PG who may be available, who fits this need down to the T. But even then I'm skeptical of trading Ryan Anderson. He is way more valuable to us than people realize. It isn't easy to find a player with the shooting and rebounding ability he brings to the table. Not to mention he is 23 and on a solid contract.
Ryno is untouchable. Even for Ellis. Anyone but Ryno and Dwight.

I have that same bad feeling in my stomach about acquiring Ellis. I actually see him coming in here posting subpar scoring numbers on mediocre efficiency trying to fit into this offense and being put on a short leash. Then at that point we get back to debating on whether or not this is on Stan or if Ellis just sucks. I don't see us having those same issues with Nash. He's the kind of guy SVG would trust right off the bat.
I'm not so sure. SVG has said before the reason he runs the offense he does is because of the players he has at his disposal. Most of them are role players who make the open 3. With someone like Ellis on the roster, I'm sure he'd be given more freedom, we haven't had a guy like that with SVG yet. I'm damn sure SVG knows what Ellis can do and isn't going to restrain him.
Agreed. People don't give SVG enough credit as a coach.
I don't remember him "restraining" Wade in Miami...

First of all, with that logic... Josh Smith isn't an all-star... which he clearly was this season... he got snubbed... the reason coaches didn't choose Ellis was because he played for Golden State (losing records, etc...).
Secondly, it's not about stats... it's Ellis' skill... he IS A STAR... and an underrated one... when you say his game will go down like "every other perimeter player we've added under SVG"... who exactly did we add that was the caliber of Ellis? Who?
Arenas and his shot knees and lack of explosiveness? A declining J-Rich who can't handle the ball or drive? A 34 year old VC who moves like a glacier?... Von Wafer (lol)?
Come on.
And if Ellis came here and his stats went down because he was on a short leash... well then the problem isn't with Ellis... it's with SVG.
But I'm fully confident that under SVG, Ellis can be an even greater player... what has Stan always said about his players? ... "They are what they are"... remember that? He doesn't have the personnel in the back-court with the athleticism and skill-set that can create off the dribble like Ellis consistently... and that one is Otis' fault.

The Celtics are a team we met early on in the season that plays Dwight strait up, and you know how that worked out? Ryan = 0 for 8....... The playoffs will be played in a similar style.

I swear, showed me pictures of him with Avery, Mark Cuban, and a bunch of different players (Tim Hardaway, Shaq, got a pic of Penny's lambo, Vinny Del Negro (random, I know) etc...)
I asked him if he had heard anything about the getting Dwight, he laughed and said no. But, ironically, he's a Magic fan, and Avery himself had attended quite a few Magic games.
Just thought I would share.....
