Warrior fan here. Was just reading a couple of your threads and saw this one. FYI, I don't think that Anderson is essential in a trade between you guys and the Warriors (although he's probably the most valuable trade piece you have other than Dwight). Reason being is that we have David Lee playing the same position (and a solid backup in Epke Udoh).
However, the problem is that you have little else that would be of much interest and that's the problem. We don't want JRich (bee there, done that, we actually traded him in favor of Monta) and really have no interest in Redick (who I acknowledge is a good player).
I think the only way you get Monta is that you're going to have to dangle some of those players you have to a 3rd team that might have interest and get back some players that would interest us in order to make something happen.
Otherwise, it's going to be pretty touhg. And FWIW, I'd much rather see you guys keep Dwight than to see him go to one of these other teams who are trying to steal him from you. Best of luck in all this. Also, personally I'm a big fan of Monta and would love to see him get the opportunity to play alongside of Dwight in an environment such as yours and with a coach like Van Gundy.
And BTW, I'd say PG is where you'd want to play Monta, where he's been recently moved to on the Warriors with the absence of Curry. You're right some of you, playing the point would help his defense tremendously since he has the speed to keep up with the majority of point guards he'd be playing against. You guys just need to come up with the right package to satisfy the Warriors FO.
