DFB POKAL with bad news for the home teams...

Kiel - BVB 0-4 :(
Stuttgart - Munich 0-2
Hoffenheim - Fürth 0-1
Hertha - Gladbach 0-2 oT

Stuttgart was just pathetic, they just laid down vs Bayern and let themselves get owned. Fürth gets a well deserved win vs Hoffenheim, whose coach Stanislawski is expected get the sack. Gladbach uses a downright disgusting flop-for-penalty-kick-and-red-card to undeservedly win vs Hertha. Oh well... now I hope Fürth wins the Pokal :D

Lol. Hertha down 0-4 in Stuttgart at halftime and a man down. This could become an epic defeat.

Get lost you Fassenacht addicted Mainzelmännchen  I was SHOCKED by my Lauterer. No class, no spirit, no hustle - dead men walking. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

But then, our GOAT coach (Rehhagel) also got clobbered with Hertha on his BL return. Berlin seems to be a hotseat, just ask Christian Wulff

I was shocked by Lautern's performance as well. Normally a Derby is always hard fought but Lautern was never in the game.

The police are investigating against FCK because 8-10 of our own (!!) "fans" thought it would be a "nice idea" to heckle our Israeli striker Itay Shechter with Nazi salutes. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

This is officially an all-time low.

Podolski linked to Arsenal. Oh boy I can totally see Cologne falling into pieces next year if Podolski leaves and being relegated.

Don't worry. As long as the powerful Mato Jajalo is still playing, there is still hope

After seeing the France friendly yesterday, I can say that our defense honestly sucks. Badstuber and Aogo had no chemistry, Hummels is useless in the NT, and Boateng is equally bad inside or outside. I hope things get better if Lahm and Merte return.

In related news: Jaroslav Drobny (HSV) is linked to Bayern. HSV is going to acquire Adler, so he apparently will become the #2 goalie behind Neuer. Talk about a strong backup :o

I hate national team games in the middle of the season.

A lot of players always return injured to their clubs after playing in completely meaningless games...

And on top of that...last nights game was unwatchable. I've rarely seen a German national team look so disinterested. None of the guys on the pitch was motivated.

The fans were terrible, too, though. The place was quite. The only thing you could hear all game long was: "Allez Les Bleus".

Congratulations to Dortmund. 2nd championship in a row. If only they would play well in the CL as well now.

I don't understand Bayern. If my gut instinct is true, they are 100 PERCENT DEPENDENT ON SCHWEINSTEIGER. If he plays, everything flows, if not, Bayern is crap. How on earth can a team with Ribery, Robben, Kroos, Müller etc. be so reliant on 1 single guy? I don't get it.

Munich should buy Nuri Sahin. He's rotting on Real Madrid's bench and him and Schweinsteiger could be a good duo in defensive midfield.
Sell Robben he's too often injured and when he's back healthy he needs 3-4 weeks to become fully in game shape (and once he is in game shape he gets injured again).

Shaqiri from Basel is a great buy. Love that guy. They also need a striker that is able to combinate with the midfield like Cavani. Mario Gomez is such a bullsh*t player. I hate him. He's got a nose for the goals but honestly Munich loses so many chances because they're unable to combinate with Gomez.

And obviously they still need a central and right back.

Since Nerlinger took over, Bayern's transfers have been very questionable. Robben was phenomenal in 2010, but has been injured since then. Gomez is ok, but never scored a really important goal, and Neuer, Boateng, Rafinha have been disappointing (Neuer's funk is especially baffling).

If you look at guys snubbed by Bayern, it becomes even worse. FCB could easily nabbed Khedira, Özil, Schürrle, S. Bender, L. Bender, probably Sahin, and even Mertesacker, but instead, they let go of guys who still could play (Lucio, Klose) and even send away their own talent (Hummels).

Now, look at the transfers made by Dortmund under Klopp
S. Bender, Kagawa, Lewandowski, Pisczek, Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer, Sahin, Grosskreutz came for a bag of chips, and Götze is from their own junior team :o

Gomez scored some important goals but he's so one dimensional. All it takes is 2 solid center backs to take him out of the game. I mean he's completely invisible when he's not getting quality passes from his teammates. I always want to cry when I see him having the ball outside of the penalty area.

I truely believe if Munich had a striker like Cavani that is able to create chances for himself as well as for others they would be much more dangerous offensively.
Instead they're probably going to buy Gomez version 2.0 Olivier Giroud. Although Giroud is probably a little more skilled with the ball than Gomez. :dontknow:

Comes from buying Gomez for 35 mil. when everyone and my grandmother knew they should've bought Dzeko for the same money instead.

Nobody will be really interested, but the local "Rheinpfalz" has analysed why my club 1. FCK is currently dead last. Nothing surprising:

* We (forcibly) gave up a lot of offensive quality (Lakic, Hoffer, Moravek, Ilicevic)
* We overestimated our new strikers: Shechter, Kouemaha, Sukuta-Pasu and now Wagner simply cannot score
* We have too many players who are good in the 2nd BL, but struggle in the 1st BL
* Only "edge": despite the horrific streak (14 games, no win) we refrain from infighting

This. So damn hard. Gomez has clearly got quite a bit of Gerd Mueller's "right place at the right time" ability, but he's just so unskilled that it kills them. Makes their offensive attacks so simple, if Gomez could draw defenders out of position and play passes to the many talented scorers Bayern has, Robben, Mueller, Kroos, Ribery, Schweini, that offense would be so much more dangerous. Admittedly that would involve changing their style of play since they're offense is so predicated on one of their wingers doing amazing things, be it Ribery bouncing it in off of Gomez or Robben rifling in a blast off of one of his cuts, but they're just so basic. Marco Reus would've been absolutely perfect for them if Dortmund hadn't already snapped him up.

The D is still a work in progress, but I think that they're getting close to having a great Defense again, especially once they can play Schweini and Gustavo together on a regular basis in front of their backline. A top notch Center back still in his prime to anchor the backline would be huge for them and really help sort the pieces out. Someone like Hummels would be absolutely perfect right about now...

Schweini-Gustavo/Alaba
Lahm/Alaba-Boateng/Badstuber-Hummels/SomeOtherStud-Rafinha/Boateng/Lahm
Neuer

And they're sporting a great D moving forward, although frankly in the games I've watched the defense's biggest problems were from lulling themselves to sleep, the way Bayern carefully, meticulously holds possession waiting for someone to do something special results in a lot of guys standing around and getting pulled out of the game, so that when they get put under pressure they need to scramble.

I really think if they could play more freely up front and were more aggressive with their possessions they'd dominate possession a little less, but would score more goals and suffer less defensive third ****. In an ideal world they try to sell Mario and maybe one of their Wingers, I'd be leaning towards Robben. Go after a striker like the aforementioned Cavani, Van Persie, Berbatov or Torres to replace him and you've got yourself an elite first unit.

Gomes really is hard to watch, but he' all that Bayern has right now. Berbo and Torres I would not want on the team, but Cavani or Persie would be a dream come true. Bayern goes as far as Shweinstiger goes, he controls the game so well and takes pressure off of a weak defender like Badstuber. When he comes back, I think Bayern will get back into gear and make a huge run in the CL and BL.
