^ Harper was a second round pick I dont have faith in him unless he drastically improves in the offseason, it will take him at least another full season to even sniff what ryan has been doing even with Dwight still here

Anderson's departure was written on the wall once we drafted Harper. I'm not saying Harper can fill Ryan's shoes (yet?), but Otis, and the rest of the FO, saw something in Harper that made them trade for him and making Ryan more expendable.

I think they kept trading him as an option when they declined the qualifying offer earlier in the season.

No, we'd still need Stephen Jackson and Baron Davis for his dream to come true.

Ken Berger ‏ @KBergCBS
The Blazers and Clips are discussing a deal that would send Jamal Crawford to L.A. for Eric Bledsoe and Ryan Gomes, sources say.

Oh no doubt, I mean look how long it's taken Ryan to get to the level he's at now.. and he was a first rounder.

Yeah, it was the same thing they saw in Orton... UPSIDE!!!

Good point.

The hate for Anderson and Redick by some people in this thread is hilarious to say the least. All they do every night is give the Magic everything they have, while also putting up some damn good numbers along the way.

Christ, how many more weapons in the back-court do the Clippers need... they have CP3, Mo Will, Billups (injured), Caron, and now Jamal?

Yea I have zero faith in Otis making the draft picks here, he just cant evaluate talent and he drafted Orton without even sitting down to interview the kid, there was a reason he slipped to us in the first place

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh

Typical Speculation thread. Been following these since December. Earlier this morning it was Dwight gone for sure, to Monta potentially coming to the Magic (again.) Good news then bad news, good news then bad news, just keep repeating. Eventually something is going to happen and at this point it's a complete toss up.

Waiting for oncoming wave of bad news

I don't think anyone is hating on Redick or Ryan just because several of us want to see us attain Monta Ellis.

I like Redick and Ryan, they are my favorite players on the team by far. But I have to put aside my favoritism, and look at it objectively... Redick and Ryan gives it their all, and they put up good numbers... but they are replaceable pieces. Monta Ellis is a legit star (and that's my honest opinion, I know others think he isn't, but that's debatable as well), and Dwight has gone on the record saying "Monta" is one of the few guys he wants on this team in order to help him out. Dwight hasn't played with an explosive player in the back-court for his whole career (and Steve Francis doesn't count, because Dwight wasn't developed yet).

Edit* Ever since the Lakers/Magic Finals, we all saw that we needed a play-maker or a back-court scorer who can create for himself and for others when our offense becomes stagnant or late in games when the defense clamps down on our spot up shooters (our guys that can't create for themselves) and Dwight in the low-block single covered. Monta is a valuable addition to help make our offense more dynamic.
