We need to focus on improving our bench. I'm probably optimistic as hell for saying this but I honestly do believe that we can be a dark horse in the playoffs. My main fear is that are we disciplined enough to play hard and intelligent for 48 minutes each game because that is the main issue I have with this team this season.

if you can only pick one spot on the bench to improve, which area and how do you do it?

When I look at our roster, the thing that is killing us is our lack of balance and depth between the starting unit and the bench. I know Stan thinks about this too but he probably would not do it for chemistry reasons, but I would honestly insert J.J. into the starting lineup because he meshes with the starting unit so well especially with Dwight. I would flip J-Rich and try to either obtain a legitimate backup PG that can fill in when Jameer needs rest or is injured. I would love to have Ramon Sessions here but Cleveland has no need for J-Rich whatsoever. Either we improve the backup PG spot or add another legitimate scorer off the bench and J-Rich would be the guy I would try to float around to see what I could get out there.

It is going to be tough. Thanks to Otis, we literally have no assets anymore except for #12. I don't even think it is about teams not wanting to help Orlando, it is that we have no one that other teams get excited about trading for. Just last season, we had expiring contracts in Carter and Pietrus and we had the Polish Hammer who is playing like a top 5 center in the league (mostly due to Nash but we all know he has the talent to put up numbers). If we would just stood pat and kept that team, we would have been able to put a package together to get whatever help that is needed for Dwight.

It would probably take a lot more for the Bucks to give up Bogut.

Not if they can shed Jackson.....but then again they are getting Hedo back soooo....yea that's a wash.

Again, this all hinges on the Warriors, and from everything that's been said they're not dealing him to the Magic unless its for Dwight. Maybe if Otis sweetens the pot and throws in our 2013 unprotected first risking Dwight would leave in the off-season and we win 25 games next season. But as its stands JJ and Ryan aren't gonna cut it for the Dubs.

You know, if you think about this, this is pretty hilarious....

Dwight ask for a trade but we don't trade him yet because we hope to keep him. Then we try to trade with anyone but no one wants to trade with us because they don't like our assets. Then it is reported (speculated/a rumor) that when Magic try and trade Dwight he blocked it. And in between all those whom we were supposedly trading Dwight for, all got hurt.

Either God is really amused or we have really bad luck. Either way, I say just keep him and let him walk. Because if God have allowed all this to happen for this man to stay on this team to finish out this season then there must be a blessing somewhere down the road.

Can we just trade for Vince Carter so I can argue with the fanboys again?

I tried to come up with something that may not help out our starting lineup all that much. It may solidify the bench more then anything and it gets us a pass first PG.

According to the trade Checker which for some reason I cannot get the link to post, here it is:

ORL Trade: Jameer Nelson, JJ Redick, Daniel Orton
ORL Receive: Jose Calderon, Michael Beasley, Anthony Randolph

TOR Trade: Jose Calderon
TOR Receive: Derrick Williams, Daniel Orton

MINN Trade: Michael Beasley, Anthony Randolph, Derrick Williams
MINN Receive: Jameer Nelson, JJ Redick

It is not an outstanding deal but it was something I tried.

Yes! J-Rich off the bench would be amazing! Wafer is a good player, Clark shows heart and hustle, and we'd finally have a backup C.

What do you know, some sources come out with rumors and absolutely nothing happens again. Cool.

I had a feeling once the rumored deal got out if it didn't go down right away, then it probably wouldn't happen...usually rumored Magic deals never happen :(

Maybe...But the reality is I dont think we cant go into the PO's with Ryan Anderson as our second best scorer. I know people love the guy but he'll get shut down again. We may, MAY get out of the first round, but if we have to face the Bulls we're done, dude just doesn't play well against them and in the slowed down half court defensive po's?...you can pretty much hang it up. We have no REAL scorers and thats going to be our demise...again...Not rooting for the guy to fail, just dont trust him.
