Say you guys get back what you want, Steph Curry. Where does that leave us? A 35-40 win team next year and more than likely continued draft picks around the 10-15 range. How does that help us long term? We would have nothing to draw free agents with, and no high draft pick.
The only way this team gets fixed long term is 1) tanking and 2) getting rid of the pieces we have now.
How the **** does expirings help us? It would free up money for Ersan to be resigned, we'd be the EXACT same team going into next season.
We'd still be mediocre but good enough to make the playoffs.
We'd have no assets left trading Bogut for nothing.
We;d have cap space the next season to add mediocre free agents to a mediocre team.
Trading Bogut for expirings doesn't help us get out of this hole, it digs it much, much deeper.
