You've got to understand - we've spent the last few months being told he was gone, done deal, hello Brooklyn. I can't speak for everyone, but I never judged him for wanting to leave, Otis Smith's tenure as GM would have driven anyone to that. There were times where I felt he handled things badly, but him wanting to leave was his choice. I also held out hope that he might stay, even if I thought the odds were against it.
I do have sympathy for Nets fans. As insufferable as some of your fanbase has been recently, I don't really wish what is ahead for you guys - you're probably now going to face the same nonsense we did with Deron/Dallas, and truth be told, it sucks.
