FWIW Coon recommended to use $13,668,750 as the projected salary for Love. There's a couple different figure floating around out there.

Haven't you always been really critical of Jackson? I agree with your point, I just thought you didn't like him.

Committed:
K.Love $13,668,750
M. Webster $5,712,000 ($600,000 guaranteed)
D. Milicic $5,228,000
B. Miller $5,104,000 ($848,000 guaranteed)
D. Williams $4,947,840
N. Pekovic $4,915,000
JJ Barea $4,650,250
W. Johnson $4,285,560
L. Ridnour $4,000,000
R. Rubio $3,741,120
W. Ellington $2,083,042
M. Lee $762,195
Cap Holds:
M. Beasley $12,524,694
A. Randolph $7,278,078
A. Tolliver $2,665,000
So that gives us an initial cap number of:
$81,565,529.
Before I go into our possible situations, I should note that all teams must have 12 players under contract and/or roster holds against the salary cap at all times. If a team is under 12, they will be given a roster charge of the league minimum salary (roughly $500K) until they reach 12 (example a team with only 10 contracts/cap holds would get $1 Mil in roster charges, 9 contracts/holds would be $1.5 Mil, etc.).
So let's say we waive Webster/Miller and renounce AR/Tolly, then our new cap number would be:
$62,754,451 (11 players under contract and/or cap holds)
If we amnesty Darko it would be:
$58,026,451 (10 players under contract and/or cap holds)
We will want to figure out what to do with Beasley as soon as we can since he has a massive cap hold. If we flat out renounce him (thus denouncing his Bird right's) we would be at:
$46,001,757

They'll get bounced quick the first time they're there obviously, but thats why i wanted that to be this year. They could win 50 next season and they'd probably get housed in the first round just b/c they don't have that experience yet. Just wanted them to get their feet wet and have their goal for next season be the 2nd round of the playoffs instead of the 1st round. That was my thought anyways. Hopefully Lee can step up for some SG minutes I guess. Beasley I'm fine with, but he was the obvious trade chip to bolster the backcourt.
Ridnour/Barea
Webster/Ellington
just doesn't look very playoff-ish to me
"A while back,'' Cardinal said, "I took a picture of the standings and texted it to Love, just to bust his chops,'' Cardinal said. "He sent me a picture back of a snowdrift.''
