I was actually being sarcastic about your sources.

Regarding your statement of Thibodeau being a better coach than Carlisle, I can only strongly disagree. Carlisle is a coaching mastermind. He's great at preparing his team for its opponent while his biggest strength is his ability to adjust on the fly. All these comeback victories the Mavs had were not just a coincidence of shots falling. He developed quick plays which exploited the other team's strategy and confused the opposing team's coach. While Carlisle exploited our defense beautifully and found a good defensive strategy despite not having a team full of great defenders, Thibodeau ran against a brick wall, trying to force his team into the same stuff over and over again.
Thibodeau is a good coach, but Carlisle is among the three best in the league.
Good Coaches make bad or average teams better Carlisle has never really done that if you want we can start another thread on that. Carlisle is a good coach don' get me wrong but Thibs is more defensive minded and offensive too HE IS BETTER

facts for the progression of team from last season to this season prove it. Dallas should have not won last year it was a miracle everyone knows that. They had veterans, the depth and Tyson Chandler on D in the middle lets see what they can do this year. Carlisle did a great job for sure but i would take Thibs. Boston won championship few years ago not really because of Doc Rivers was mostly because of Thibs. Doc Rivers is good coach too for sure but Thibs made that defense what it still is today. Boston are older & slower and still have the 3rd best defense in league today. Last year Carlisle had the supporting cast to get it done THE TALENT & DEPTH. We still should have won last year with the TALENT WE HAD & STILL HAVE even Carlisle said he made adjustments when Spo did not and thats how they beat us

Umm no, Dallas had so many great open looks against us, it was mind-numbing. Game 2 was an outstanding coaching performance by Carlise, who had a couple of relatively simple but efficient plays that killed us down the stretch, while he was smart enough to run a zone, knowing he didn't have enough good 1-on-1 defenders to check us, while also using Tyson Chandler's ability to protect the basket in a zone, which ultimately forced us into taking bad outside shots. Thibodeau, on the other hand, continued to run into a brick wall against us and lived off of his team's advantage on the offensive glass.
Also, how has Carlisle not made his teams better? By having 50+ win seasons in 6 of 10 years in the league? By having the 6th best defense in the league despite losing his defensive anchor and not having too many great defensive players on his squad this year? Please, don't be stupid.
