I really like the lineup a lot more than with Hedo/Ryan. It brings more balance to the team. We get better defensive toughness in the paint and Davis has been providing easy baskets at the rim too, which takes pressure off shooters and provides more diversity to the offense. And JJ has been needing to start for awhile now. When he's coming off screens, he's as much of a threat as Hedo is, and he seems to be more poised, have better shot selection, and make good decisions. I think Q should start over J-Rich, just to provide added defensive toughness to the wings. IMO that's the best balance of offense/defense in the SL, and you give Hedo a chance to be a play maker with the second unit, instead of Duhon.
I would really prefer to start both JJ and Baby, granted Baby keeps up his stellar play, which I believe he will. Going into the playoffs, I like the defense Baby brings and the easy buckets at the rim. Ryan is great, but if the Big Baby we've seen for the past 5 games is here to stay, it'll be a tough decision.
That's really what I'm interested to see in these next few games. I want to see if Big Baby can keep it up. I think he could be more valuable to us in the playoffs if he's consistent.
I wanted BBD to start since the preseason. I'm happy with the results Ryan has shown, but, I still think a starting lineup of Jameer/JJ/Q/BBD/Dwight is the best lineup for us. than we could use Hedo as the primary playmaker from off the bench, J-Rich can be the scorer. we should take Duhon out of the rotation for Ish, but, he's going to be our backup. so, we could use him as a pure spot up shooter. and finally, Ryan could be like our Kyle Korver, a guy that can come in and extend the lead and stretch the floor with his shooting.
