I really like the lineup a lot more than with Hedo/Ryan. It brings more balance to the team. We get better defensive toughness in the paint and Davis has been providing easy baskets at the rim too, which takes pressure off shooters and provides more diversity to the offense. And JJ has been needing to start for awhile now. When he's coming off screens, he's as much of a threat as Hedo is, and he seems to be more poised, have better shot selection, and make good decisions. I think Q should start over J-Rich, just to provide added defensive toughness to the wings. IMO that's the best balance of offense/defense in the SL, and you give Hedo a chance to be a play maker with the second unit, instead of Duhon.

I would really prefer to start both JJ and Baby, granted Baby keeps up his stellar play, which I believe he will. Going into the playoffs, I like the defense Baby brings and the easy buckets at the rim. Ryan is great, but if the Big Baby we've seen for the past 5 games is here to stay, it'll be a tough decision.

That's really what I'm interested to see in these next few games. I want to see if Big Baby can keep it up. I think he could be more valuable to us in the playoffs if he's consistent.

I wanted BBD to start since the preseason. I'm happy with the results Ryan has shown, but, I still think a starting lineup of Jameer/JJ/Q/BBD/Dwight is the best lineup for us. than we could use Hedo as the primary playmaker from off the bench, J-Rich can be the scorer. we should take Duhon out of the rotation for Ish, but, he's going to be our backup. so, we could use him as a pure spot up shooter. and finally, Ryan could be like our Kyle Korver, a guy that can come in and extend the lead and stretch the floor with his shooting.

The Pistons have shot 50.7 percent in three consecutive wins over Orlando, and they've outrebounded the Magic by a combined 84-58 in two victories this season

Jameer Nelson and Ryan Anderson also missed last week's meeting, but both could be on the floor Monday. Nelson, who missed the game with a sore left calf, is 5 for 26 in two games since returning -- 1 for 14 from inside the 3-point line

I think he's out tonight and doubtful for Tuesday's game. Magic still have games on Friday and Sunday.

The question I have is, assuming they can beat Detroit and Washington the next two days, how critical will beating Atlanta be (and Cleveland on Sunday). In other words, I'm sure Howard could play if this were the playoffs so will the rest be extended as much as possible or is there a reason to even play him this week at all.

We are not going to make the playoffs. :( Can't have Dwight continuing to miss games, especially with Ryno still out.

To be honest i would shut down Dwight until the playoffs....we're not going to miss the playoffs imo and really we put ourselves in the situation we are in now in terms of seeding....how many games did we lose that we were supposed to win when we were healthy? Now is the time to rest some guys to be honest....Turk is out....Ryan is out.....Dwight is out....Jameer just got back from injury but something could flare up......Q has been having back spasms......J-Rich might not be injured but he is sure playing like he is.....why risk it? Rest those guys until the playoffs.....unless people really think we're in danger of missing the playoffs.....

Yeah we should really rest Dwight!

The Magic are probably going to lose the next two games. No Anderson, Hedo or Howard.

I doubt they will rest him all the way to the playoffs, but it does make sense to rest him for at least some of the remaining games. The Magic have about 10 games left (I think) so the real question is, what seed to the Magic think best gives them an advantage in the playoffs? I doubt they want to play the Heat or the Bulls so they probably want to maintain at least the #6 seed.

Um, no.

1) The 3 to the 6 seed are different by 1 game. All wins matter.

2) Howard's game is built on playing. He need to stay game-focused.

Although it would be nice to have home court for the first round, I'm more concerned with our opponent. I have no problem with staying a 6th seed as long as we get Indiana in the first round.

What I'm worried about (especially with Dwight ailing), is if we drop to the 7th or 8th spot.

I disagree. the Wizards suck and the Pistons aren't that great either. we should win these games.

I think its been quite obvious that JRich and Hedo come back strong after resting. Critical stretch because you want a favorable seeding but we also want Dwight and Co. Healthy.

Baby vs Monroe is a good match up for baby imo. What worries me is Ryan sticking Maxiell he's the type of physical player that gives Ryan fits. Hopefully he decides not guard Anderson out on the perimeter.

I like BBD better than Dwight anyways so I don't mind if the prima donna sits out at all.
