Kidd has been absolutely mis-used.

I finally caught the end of Raw last night and my god was Brocks delivery horrible. He fumbled words, used the wrong ones, repeated himself cause he didn't know how to transition. The idea was solid, the execution was horrible.

They should have brought Brock out. Just as Laurinitis is about to bring Cena out, Brock stops him (instead of playing Cena's music to not have him show up) and makes his demands.

Now his demands, what wrestler asks for every idea to go through them. Is Johnny supposed to ask him about a IC title match at the next PPV and why does Brock even care.

Brock should have simply demanded, anything involving him, he be consulted on prior to a decision. Next, ask for all the bells and whistles that the face of the company should get - private jet, limos to and from the arena, the best hotels and a separate dressing room. Finally, it should simply be I want immunity for the pain i'm about to bring to this company. IAnd this is when Cena's music hits and he comes out.

Seriously, whoever thought having Brock speak for twenty minutes was a good idea should be fired.

It was a very odd segment for many reasons one of which is that I think the segment was designed to get Brock heat but the guy he was verbally berating is one of the top heels on the show. What they should've done is have Johnny Ace send Teddy Long out their and Brock berate him. It still wouldn't have been a particularly good segment but it would've at least made a bit more sense.

The best thing they could've done is bring Heyman with him but I don't think the idiot daughter would be too fond of that idea.

Agreed safi,

It was very odd set up. No way should Brock speak that long. He should have quick and easy points, make them and have Ace respond. It didn't have to be bullying Ace to get heat on Cena. It could have simply been the arrogant guy wanting everything.

"Hey, JL, you brought me here, this is what I want?"
Hey, JL, deal with it if you want Cena dealt with?"

That kind of stuff.

Anyone think it was better written but the show had already run long and they may have been last minute trying to edit a lot of stuff back there. Maybe that really threw it off. They should have never been in that position though with 3 hours of airtime.

2 things about Brock...

1. Still has it pysically. Not as cut as he used to be but that comes from putting on extra weight for MMA. The fact that he still has the athletic ability to jump from the ground to the apron is ridiculous for someone his size.

2. WHO THE HELL THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA FOR HIM TO TALK, AND WHY DID THEY LET EDGE "SHOOT" ON BROCK EARLIER IN THE SHOW? When you have a star coming out and pointing out the obvious, that Brock is just back for the money and doesn't take pro wrestling seriously, it sort of undermines anything Brock COULD have said later on. So instead, we end up seeing Brock ramble about God knows what (I lost track of what the hell he was saying after the first couple minutes of screw ups). Instead he should have been talking about how the industry needs him for legitimacy, but he couldn't really do that because Edge already pointed out that Brock doesn't care about pro wrestling.

I think the whole Edge shooting on Brock was designed draw the lines in the sand. Basically, even with Brock doing 'heelish' things, he was getting face pops and Cena wasn't going to win over anyone. The route they chose, and I think it was a wise one was very good. Edge sold it well and Cena needs to follow it up. But look at what they did in one show, by the end of that show, the entire crowd was supporting Cena. There was still pockets of Cena Sucks but they were being drowned out more than I can remember in a long time.

Brock should have followed it up with I don't care about the fans, I'm here to legitimize this company and i'm gonna make myself a ton of money and protect the Brock Lesnar brand too. That would have sold it better.

But you are right that it was a bit disjointed. IT was poorly executed at the end of the show.

I thought Edge nailed his promo. I guess my main gripe is just with the fact that Brock had to talk for so long and they didn't have anything clearly written for him. He was a freaking train wreck on the mic, and pretty much always has been. When you have a guy who clearly has very little skill on the mic, you protect him either by giving him a manager or just having him be a silent killer, this is basically elementary stuff that has been going on for as long as I've been watching yet WWE seems to have forgotten. You're right about the fans backing Cena. You could barely hear any "Cena Sucks!" chants.

What is everybody's feel on Brock / Cena?? Usually you get a feel one way or another on who would / should win but they have done a very good job in such a short time with this feud. I honestly don't see Brock losing so soon but I also don't see Cena losing again, something has to give at the ppv and frankly I have no idea what to expect.

Isn't it odd that several wrestling fans suddenly don't want Cena to lose? Maybe WWE has done something right...

I think they have done a Great job, I questioned the feud being rushed initially but they've been pretty flawless with it up to this point.

It's not odd at all, they've written this thing perfectly after allowing the organic reaction to Brock showing up the first night. This will go back to my whole beef about Cena to begin with, he needs to step up and show other sides to his character if they are intent on keeping him a face. It will be great for this storyline but if Cena's gonna resort back to his goofy faces and good guy smiles, it does nothing long-term.

Kane turns 45 today. That shouldn't surprise me, but it does. He should be close to hanging 'em up then.

And a really cool and creative poster too.

Also, when was the last time a diva was on a ppv poster?

I'm being persuaded on other boards that it's a fan-created poster.

But until I see it on WWE.com or I see the original photos, I really haven't a clue.

STAMFORD, Conn. – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) for 60 days effective Thursday, April 26 for his second violation of the company's policy.

Damn, that's his second one. Let's see how dedicated they are to this three strike rule when one of their biggest stars is on the cusp of being booted out.
