Can't Earl Clark be our starting SF next year? He just amount potential as people in this draft, I like his ability to attack the basket in the open court with a pass first PG!

No i dont think so, hes good as a shot blocker defender but hes such a liabilty on offense and we need hedos play making in the starting lineup which is why we need a better pg who can create more and a better sf who defends and gives more energy then hedo

If the Magic find a guy who can break down a defense it will give Dwight a lot more opportunities for alley oops and put-backs.

My number one choice is Wroten. Unfortunately I think that a team will grab him before 19 based on his size and skill set despite the fact that he's been mocking in the late teens, early 20's. Teague would be my 2nd choice.

That might be an exaggeration......

But it is time to move in a different direction as far as PG's go....

Earl could be a starter if we had a go-to-guy at PG or SG, so we could play 4-5 when attacking like the Pistons did with Ben Wallace, but we dont have a guy like this, so he should be a backup and thats it.

I believe if the draft went something like this than we would be sitting pretty good for the future. I really believe Quincy has the star potential and is that fresh blood we need on the wing. J'Covan needs a little work but he does have some potential and at the very least he would be un upgrade over freaking Dudu.

Round One pick 19.

Quincy Miller-Baylor-Small Forward

Round Two pick 49.

J'Covan Brown-Texas-Point Guard

Thanks for sharing this. I'd be happy with either one of these four, Wroten, Teague, Taylor or Harkless. I wouldn't be opposed to moving up for Marshall either.

Looks like Mock Draft's were updated today...

NBADraftnet has SF/PF Terrence Jones slipping to us....I would be satisfied with Terrence Jones in addition to any of SG Will Barton/SG Kevin Murphy/PG Tyshawn Taylor/PG Tu Holloway
http://nbadraft.net/2012mock_draft

I really don't agree with them saying Tyshawn Taylor will be there late in the 2nd round. Pretty sure he goes in the 1st.

This is about Jones, taken form the link CB provided.

Magic Outlook: Listen. This is my problem with the Magic drafting Terrence Jones: He is Earl Clark. You can read the pre-draft breakdowns of the two players and it is practically copy/paste. Jones: Tweener forward Clark: Tweener forward, Jones: 6'9" Clark: 6'10.5", Jones: 7'2" wingspan Clark: 7'2.5" wingspan, college 3pt% Jones: 32.7% Clark: 32.6%. It's ridiculous. Points, rebounds, all the same. So drafting Jones is basically drafting Baby Clark in the hopes that this version is better able to develop a jumpshot. It doesn't sound worth using the 19th pick to run that experiment to me.

i would love to get a young wing but the more i think about it our biggest need is at pg. nelson struggles with full time ball handling and turk has no handles left. wroten is my choice.

Find a way to move up to draft a good pg or trade for a vet from a team picking up a rookie pg.

I read it, i just don't completely agree.

I wouldnt take him over one of the top PG's or SG's if they were available, but i don't feel like he would not be a "bad" pick. I would definately take him over a guy like Mo Harkless (i know many are high on him) who i really see as a more raw Hakim Warrick. I just don't see Harkless as a guy that will ever be a go to scorer type, which is what i think most people here are hoping he is/would be for us. He just doesn't have the game to create anything imo. I don't think Jones will either mind you, but Jones can at least be a good Marvin Williams type of PF/SF. Harkless imo will forever be stuck between SF/PF while not being good enough to play either one very well.

We need a young wing scorer that can create his own shot and a high flyer.

Can we get one at pick 19?

I disagree, I think most of us want Harkless, because of his potential to be a very good to elite perimeter defender. I know that's why I'd want him.
