Why is Man U not in the Falcao sweep stakes?

We won't pay 50 mil for a player. We also rate Welbeck and Hernandez very highly.

While Falcao's world class, 50M is way too much for anyone not named Messi or Ronaldo.

Well they just paid 38 for him a season ago and he's only gotten better and more proven commodity since then. Even if you think they'd want to get back the wages they paid for him this season that'd put him at close to 43 - 45 mil.

I like Hernandez, but i dont think he is world class and i feel that man u needs a reliable and bonafide goal scorer scorer. Who plays left winger for Man U? I ask because i know that Man U has shown major interest in Porto's Jakes Rodriguez. They can get him for like 20 to 25 mill imo

Kompany/Vermaelen/Fellaini already play for great clubs. Hazard/Dembele/Vertonghen will most likely join a bigger team too & our goalie just won the Europa League with Atletico
Belgian Press had something bout a £10mil offer for Moussa Dembele .. Would be a nice move
I like Belgian players. Especially centre backs. Vertonghen, Vermaelen, Alderweireld, Kompany etc. They're pretty good with ball too. Of course part of credits go to Ajax FC. Attacking midfielders like Hazard, Mertens, De Bruyne, Chadli, Martens. Quality young keeper and striker with Courtois and Lukaku. Fellaini, Defour, Witsel as central midfielder. You guys have a high potential, devoloping squad. Really admirable.

Thing is I agree that his value's increased since his move to Atletico, but I thought 38M was too much to begin with. I mean he most likely will be a better buy at 45M than Torres at 50M or Carroll at 35M, but bargains like Ba, Jelavic and both Cisse's make you think. Considering Hazard will cost City something like 30M, if I had a choice, I'd rather buy him and gamble on a <10M striker.

I agree that 50 million is too much for one player, but that's what the market has dictated. After watching Kaka get 60, torres 50, carroll 35, among others, A. Madrid will want at least 45 for him and someone will pay it

Yeah we do need a center forward as much as a new midfielder.
We actually have good depth for left wingers in Nani, Giggs and Young. Park can play there too.

That's what i thought, which is why i was surprised that they sent scouts to watch him 4 times this season. He has done a beautiful job playing creative midfielder for the national team, but he is naturally a left winger. He is only 20 so who knows if they think they can mold him.

Yeah, it's quite group of talent we have

Hopefully our next coach can. Louis Van Gaal & Eric Gerets are the favorites to become the next coach.
