Why would we want to trade for another PG?

Ok got it.

lol.
Derrick Williams was never the answer for Minnesota.
A year from now fans will be bitching how the Wolves should have taken Crowder when they had the chance.
He's gonna turn out to be stud in the NBA - moreso as the role playing type albeit, but a stud one nonetheless. I'll just leave it at that.

Which is why we should trade 18 for a veteran.

Give him a training camp and see what he can do once he's been a bit more familiar with the system Adelman usually runs. He looked lost on the court far too often which is a bad sign. Giving up the last two weeks was bad, too. However, I'd still give him a full training camp and at least until early/mid December before I'd actively try to trade him.

I don't think you can assume anyone will be willing to trade a quality player for the 18th pick. And by quality, I mean solid rotation player.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Come on. I'm sure that there's some team willing to part with a disappointing former lottery pick with a history of back injuries.

I get that he is the type of player who can make an impact off the bench, but I'd much rather we grab a goon at 18 like Fab Melo/Meyers Leonard because their type of size cannot be found around the range where Jae would still be available. Chief Crowder could be a nice player though (should be more impactful than Lazar).
