A Spanish basketball writer tweets Thursday that Europe's top scorer, Mirza Teletovic, may be interested in joining "Brooklyn," writes Jon de la Presa. Teletovic, a 6'9" stretch forward, plays for Caja Laboral in Spain. In Euroleague games this season, Teletovic averaged 21.7 ppg. He is 26 and Bosnian, having grown up in Mostar, the same town that produced Zoran Planinic and Bojan Bogdanovic.
Teletovic led Europe in minutes, total points, field goals, three pointers made and attempted, as well as second in fouls drawn. He shot 43.6 percent from three and his career average is 40.2 percent. He averaged only 6.0 rebounds, however. Teletovic, who's a free agent and thus has no buyout, is one of Europe's highest paid players, but makes less than $2 million.

Even if this guy is a scrub over, if we give him a $3-4mil/year contract, he'd make more money than he did overseas.
