the only problem with thats it if he had a jumper he would be guarded differently so that would result in less space between him in the defender effecting his court vision

From Woj's article:

Thunder vice president and assistant general manager Troy Weaver and Spurs assistant GM Dennis Lindsey have been targeted, and Orlando has been granted permission to talk with Weaver, sources said. The Spurs' OK of permission for Lindsey is imminent, sources said.

Orlando has also been granted permission to speak with Oklahoma City's assistant GM Rob Hennigan, who came into the league with the Spurs.

I am glad to see that we are looking at everyone. This team has been trying to promote thier own people forever. I just hope we can get the process of finding a GM done this next week. So we can get into the mix for a good coach.

Those are great news, at least we are targeting people in well run franchises.

Say we are forced to trade Dwight. What do you guys think of this trade (on phone so no trade machine, contracts should match up for the most part, some filler may need to be added):

LAL sends:
Gasol
Bynum
Lamar Odom TPE (in separate trade with HOU for pick)

LAL receives:
Ryan Anderson (S&T)
Dwight Howard
HOU pick

HOU sends:
Lowry
Pick (to LA for TPE)

HOU receives:
Gasol
Lamar Odom TPE

ORL sends:
Dwight Howard
Ryan Anderson (S&T)

ORL recieves:
Lowry
Bynum

Houston may have to throw in another piece for LAL but I think it's fair for every team involved.

With us getting back Lowry and Bynum we'd have room for a 2013 FA. And if we rehire Otis Smith as GM we could use his creative financing . JK, but seriously we'd be in a nice cap situation with a new GM/Coach.

I too am glad that Orlando is targeting people in well run franchises but I hope they pick someone, who wants to be here, from those franchises. I actually wouldn't mind if we would learn from the Spurs and have an open communication with the players and FO, that would be pretty sweet.

I agree that people are looking into his actions too much.

But not wanting pictures is a strange request... Autographs and/or talking is one thing, but pictures are pretty easy and straightforward. Not reading into it, just saying its a strange request. In this day and time EVERYONE gets their picture taken..

Work at a theme park and ask guest if they want their picture taken, you'll soon learn that the statement "in this day and time EVERYONE gets their picture taken..." is a foreign concept. True at theme parks, they are doing it for capitalism but that could also be the same thing for those who take Dwight's picture. They could sell it to the media but don't really know the thinking behind his not wanting to take picture. But before we interpret this as a strange request, first make sure that this actually happened and that he actually said what he said.
I've even let a few random girls downtown take pics of me with them for their instagrams, let girls (and some dudes) take pics of me/my car at stoplights for their instagrams. I can understand him wanting quality time with his godson... but its the 21st century cell phone cameras have made taking pictures so easy. Going out of his way to ask for pictures NOT to be taken probably takes more work then cracking a smile or two for a few photos. It's not really a big deal, just a bit peculiar.

IF it is true that he asked for people to not take his picture, then we should respect his request....then slowly walk away unnoticed, turn on your camera, zoom in, take the picture surreptitiously and post it on facebook.... :) J/K.

Well, seeing as our team isn't in the playoffs, him being here doesn't really help the team in that circumstance but I guess it's a good thing that he's here. I mean, he does live here--or not, I don't know.

Rob Hennigan I believe has the experience to be a great GM. Followed the Spurs early on, like Presti, and then followed Presti. Glad to hear Alex is going after the premier names.

Brian Shaw question? if we hire him do you guys think he will implement the triangle or do you think he will run a more common offense with pick and rolls like what theyre doing in Indiana?
