I agree that people are looking into his actions too much.
But not wanting pictures is a strange request... Autographs and/or talking is one thing, but pictures are pretty easy and straightforward. Not reading into it, just saying its a strange request. In this day and time EVERYONE gets their picture taken..
Work at a theme park and ask guest if they want their picture taken, you'll soon learn that the statement "in this day and time EVERYONE gets their picture taken..." is a foreign concept. True at theme parks, they are doing it for capitalism but that could also be the same thing for those who take Dwight's picture. They could sell it to the media but don't really know the thinking behind his not wanting to take picture. But before we interpret this as a strange request, first make sure that this actually happened and that he actually said what he said.
I've even let a few random girls downtown take pics of me with them for their instagrams, let girls (and some dudes) take pics of me/my car at stoplights for their instagrams. I can understand him wanting quality time with his godson... but its the 21st century cell phone cameras have made taking pictures so easy. Going out of his way to ask for pictures NOT to be taken probably takes more work then cracking a smile or two for a few photos. It's not really a big deal, just a bit peculiar.
IF it is true that he asked for people to not take his picture, then we should respect his request....
then slowly walk away unnoticed, turn on your camera, zoom in, take the picture surreptitiously and post it on facebook....
