Any chance OKC dumps Perkins to save $$? He'd be a sweet C for DC.

Pipe dream- sign Williams, trade for Howard.

Dont think Perkins fits here....they want athletic.

Not sure how much laker interest in Andre but I know they talked.

Is it considered collusion/CBA violation if say the Sixers tell Deron that if they sign him they will go after Dwight Howard and they think they have the pieces to acquire him?

I know it's against the rules to talk publicly about acquiring other team's players, but would that violate CBA rules if the Sixers played that card with Deron privately?

I agree but they will try. They have the money too...its all about if he wants to come here really.

I still think they are alot like Denver's team next year..no stars but good "team"..I could see an off season t hat nets them Kris Humphries, Matthews/Batum or both, and they would be better at PF and someone like Felton or Courtney Lee to replace Lou Will. I am just throwing these names out there.

I think that team would be better than this years team but wouldnt sell tickets.

No they can say anything they want to deron since he's a free agent. What would be against the rules is talking to Dwight without getting the magic's approval first.

But if I'm deron Williams I say "ok great, go get him and then we'll talk."

Is Portland interested in Iguodala? What would it take to get Batum & Matthews?

Any chance Andre Miller returns to minor Jrue & ET?

Will Thad be shopped?

SF, just to make it clear, chances to bring back Hawes are 0, right?

Also, do you happen to know anything about Lavoy's situtation? We gonna re-sign him?

You mentioned they liked Perry Jones.. They would have to move up to get him.. Also, if that happens, I think Thad Young becomes expendable.. P.Jones is same kind of stretch, hybrid 4 I guess..

Why don't we trade ET for Matthews to me that instantly makes our team better

i really hope they dont sign hawes back..but havent heard either way. would be dumb to resign any of their own players until they tried their best on other teams free agents. i think lavoy will be back.......and Thad, Jrue and Evan...but like i said..keeping an open mind.

portland has liked Andre Iguodala for years.....

Selling Dwill on D12 is idiotic. If that was the case, why wouldn't he just stay in BK or go to friggin Orlando where Howard already is.

If anything, they would pitch dwill on a big contract, him being the star and a rejuvenated assertive ownership trying to do everything in there power to bring a historic franchise back to contention. He wold be a huge jumpstart on a developing young team that just missed the ECF by points. Etc etc Etc

Basically what every other teams gonna "say".

this is the reason Dr J was hired. To be our recruiter. We will see if it helps.

But I wouldnt count on Deron. We will try tho.

I also like the idea of Batum. Moving iguodala for a bigman, he'd be a great replacement.

I agree. I'm talking as a replacement in another deal.

Id like to see iggy moved for Pau. I think he's more of a seller than iggy to someone like dwill.

Dwill/Turner/?/Allen/Gasol

We would have Thad, Jrue to use as trade pieces. I think Jrue could net Matthews.

this isnt bad either.....DWill part is the toughest part tho...I think they are gonna remain flexible......because they know some guys they want to keep are gonna be asked about and then have to determine if it makes sense.

Its gonna be interesting......the first shoe is Andre..if its a trade for Gasol..then they try to sign a guard...if its a trade for a SG..then they try and sign a big man...so many possibilities.....I cant wait for july to get here:)

Not really. I doubt he cares about all that stuff. I'm sure the most important things are 1) money and 2) playing with another star like a Dwight Howard. That is what the NBA is now. Everyone is going to play with other elite players and join their boys on other teams. No one respects the history anymore. Especially not a guy like Deron Williams who has been known to be kind of a diva.

You throw the Dwight Howard thing at him and then you also include the fact that this team just got to within one game of the ECF. They have a deep team, a young group of guys that will grow and be competitive for years to come. But just the latter in itself will not be enough to get him to come here IMO. Because he'll look around the league and see the teams with multiple stars and wish that is the situation he was in.

If it comes down to the Sixers vs the Nets, it really is no comparison. The Nets is a dead franchise that has no fan base. Sure, they could offer Deron the same package as the Sixers, but the Sixers have more overall talent and actually will provide a large market to promote himself in. The Nets don't, even with the move to Brooklyn, which I suspect will do little to change the doldrums that the franchise has been in forever.

So, what would we do with Jrue if we did get Deron Williams? Is he sent packing or is he the new starting SG with Turner either traded or coming off the bench?
