But, but, I thought Stern was still the owner and that's why the lottery was rigged for the Hornets?

Irving will be far more valuable than Davis will ever be.

Davis is getting so over rated it is not even funny. He was a shot blocker on the most stacked team in the nation...

Just a bunch of hate on Stern, who is a damn good commisioner. Him stepping in to clean up the mess Demps made was simply amazing. People can hate all they want, the Hornets franchise is in much better condition than they would have been had they kept the terrible haul Demps got for CP3.

Anthony Davis "expected to have a career like KG"? LOL GTFO. If anything he'll be a poor mans Tyson Chandler.

Somebody better tell their GM then so he can focus on keeping Irving.

No way in hell Cleveland does that. They already have a sure thing in Irving. Why risk that trading it for an unproven player in Davis? I think Davis is going to be great, but Irving showed superstar potential. No way would Cleveland offer Irving and their #4. And this is coming from a huge Davis fan.

This is a very fair deal. But the dearth of info on the other prospects aside from Anthony Davis might cause the Hornets to decline the trade.

Its actually a pretty crappy offer. If Cleveland was serious, they would have offered their #4, Tristan Thompson, and 2013 1st rounder.

Many analysts peg the consensus No. 1 overall pick to have a similar NBA career as Kevin Garnett.

Tristan and the 4th and maybe NO would consider.

There are probably only 10 players in league would be able to get 1 pick

Lebron
Durant
Howard
Paul
Parker
Kyrie
Westbrook
Love
Rose

Players that would have to think twice

Kobe - age
Harden over a Big Man
Al Horford
Aldridge

When 24 became the middle of the draft. Oh always.

A mid-range first round pick is not the 7th last pick in the round.

Cavs will never trade Kyrie for an unproven player in Davis.

They'd have a better chance if they drafted Val last year.

The Cavs were immediately rebuffed, as the Hornets obviously believe Anthony Davis is worth a lot more than that quartet of picks.

And as the title of the thread says, it was for the picks, not Irving.
