Your source have proven to be suspect.

I wouldn't say that..... unless Boogey comes out and says that the Bulls are trading Deng ASAP then you have to understand he's giving us negotiations and at any point talks can breakdown
NBA Playoffs.... I can never wait!

This could be a cap space trade cause Dalembert is not guarranteed

49ers will never win with Alex Smith as QB.

The bulls will never win with rose(only)leading the team. But atleast the 49ers have been adding players to help alex smith.

Unless something big happens over the next few days, Deng will be a Bull. I honestly think it has to be with a team that hasn't been mentioned yet or a third team involved. Now it gets complicated.

Expect the Bulls only move future 2nds, buy 2nds, maybe Watson, Korver, and Brewer. That's about it.

Are you quoting Hoopsworld itself, or a "Hoopsworld source"? Can I have the link please?

Was brainstorming a 3-way with Phoenix and Toronto where a re-signed Nash and Deng go to Toronto, Boozer and Calderone go to Phoenix, and #8, TPE and another player(s) go to Chicago. Just couldn't figure out the who would come back here and how it would make sense for us/them. :P

No

No what?

Rockets want to send Lowry with the 14th involved and the Kings want to send back a bad contract. It's not Dalembert + #16 for #5. Kings aren't stupid.

Rockets would send all picks, Lowry, Martin, Dalmbert in any trade to get what they want.

I think the longer Deng puts off surgery (pending how it does in the Olympics) I think chances are good that he won't need surgery at least until after the 2012/13 season. Kobe had the same issue with his wrist & he waited as long as possible. I've been a Luol Deng supporter since he was drafted back in 04. It's sad because he doesn't get the respect/credit he deserves on this board. He came to a team that didn't make the playoffs since the MJ era & was & is a BIG face of the franchise. I see him as a good but not great 2nd option with Derrick, we can do a lot worse...a lot worse.

I don't think he will miss any time next year, & this team will make the playoffs as a 4th or 5th seed, just in time for Rose to be fully recovered. We had the best record 2 straight years & Deng has been a huge part of that, why dismantle?

He was saying you'll need incredible athleticism in order to beat the Heat and that our most athletic player aside from Rose in Noah.
Just a must-watch army of possessed ass-kickers laying the smack down night after night after night. People are gonna hate playing the Bulls this year.

Bulls like Rip. They just want him to be healthy. He couldn't find chemistry completely with the Bulls last year.

People who expect Rip to be cut next year are no more right than those who expect Rip to be a Bull in 2013-2014. It will come down to how he plays this year.

On a random note, Deng's little claim that he may not get surgery and will decide after the olympics is an obvious, smart, yet IMO completely transparent (though still probably somewhat effective), deliberate way to limit his trade value this summer.

FWIW, the wrist can heal through rest without surgery. Hell, Kobe had his wrist heal that way (though he didn't rest it).

Bulls wants a combo guard whom can starts PG for Rose when Rose is out and shift to SG when Rose return and be Rose's running mate for the future.

Since I don't get to watch NCAA game, Is there anyone in the lottery fit that description?

I do have a funny feeling that Bulls was looking at Austin Rivers. Consider the relationship between Thib and Doc, Bulls may think Thib can drill River into the player they want.

I don't get why Deng keeps delaying the wrist surgery.

It affects the way he plays basketball, and makes him a target.

Team Usa can wack at his wrist or any other team.

Seems most likely that we end up with 3 rookies this year, the 29th and maybe two 2nd rounders via trade.

It can heal on its own, he may not get the surgery until after the 2012/13 season.

We really can't afford to have him out even a month next season, needs to be the heart & soul of the team.

I am with Coldfish and Duck on this one. Trading Deng, for the Bulls, appears to be all about shedding salary. At least it is the primary motivation. They might get a lottery pick back, but they know, and people who look at draft history know, that such picks rarely pan out. There is just tremendous risk. The people who think otherwise have a bad case of draft fever. Happens every year. Very serious condition, but only fatal if you succumb to its urges.

For the people who are interested in the Bulls winning a championship, the Bulls' failure to find a deal for Deng is the best outcome, if it forces management to admit that Boozer has to go. Now if the Bulls sacrifice Asik or Gibson because management does not want to concede that it made a mistake in signing Boozer, then that is really something to be upset about.
