I said a few days ago that the team should have an outsider conduct a "best practices" review of conditonning, warmup, training practices. This is more than bad luck, and teams that have statistically anomalous runs of injuries do seek re-assurance that they aren't doing something that is causing it. I was laughed at for the suggestion, but three elbow injuries in two weeks among five guys, plus Morrow's oblique?
Well it isn't necessarily more than bad luck or bad timing, but I think they probably will do what you're suggesting, although probably a little less formally than that. It wouldn't shock me one bit if someone calls a friend or a respected ex-colleague or two they trust and ask them to look over how they've been handling their pitchers, but whether there's an issue there or not it's still not going to be anyone's fault as it won't be some glaring, "then we put needles in the arms to degrade the ligaments, bwahahahahaha!" type issue in their regimen.
I think it's most likely just crazy coincidence, but because of how AA and co. have dealt with arms all the way through the system, I would guess they might try to get some extra guidance on how they're handling the big league squad and what they might do to prevent future problems, or what they may already be doing that's exacerbating it.
But instead of fire Walton, I'm going to go with this is an Orioles conspiracy. They've obviously given their bullpen super human juice, so why can't they also have elbow destroyer that they're slipping in the Jays' gatorade? The already got Pineda, but I guess they see us as the real threat since they took out so many of our starters compared to NYY/TB/BOS
