Probably worth it I think too. Package 24 and 34 if you aren't happy with those guys and wanna move up a bit, or don't if you like those guys.

The Rufus on Fire report seems to back-up another report that was out there, I think from Steve Kyler. He said that it was 2 for 4 + 24 and possible 34. It's pretty obvious the Cho affect here...gotta love it. I think Cho's looking at it as that extra second rounder could net them John Jenkins AND Kim English. Or perhaps Tony Wrotten and Kim English. Still, solid talent left in that top 5 or so of the second round. Also gives you options to get back into the late first for salary reasons for other teams.

I would be fine with 2 for 4 + 24 by itself and either Trob or Barnes at 4. If we could get another second out of it and still get Trob I would be ecstatic. Who knows, even if we are stuck with Barnes at 4, perhaps Sully would even fall all the way to 24. Can't wait to see what the Chomiester does.

Yep, I could live with that. Ideally Robinson would still be there, which allows us to use the 24 pick on either Jeff Taylor or Quincy Miller at SF (better case scenario). If Robinson was gone I'd take Barnes at 4 and target Moultrie or Perry Jones via a trade up into the late teens using the 24 and perhaps a future 2nd rounder. If they are gone and we're stuck at 24 perhaps go with Sullinger if he's slid that far, and target our sniper at 34 (Kim english). Or go sniper at 24 (Jenkins) and hope Plumlee is still available at 34.

Well if Robinson is gone, that means Either MKG or Drummond would be there, both better options than Barnes.

And I'd take the later sniper and go with a SF if we take Robinson. If we take Drummond or a SF, we could take royce White, Sullinger, or a SF, or a SG, or anything that isn't fab melo.

If Washington and Cavs are interesed in our pick we have a lot of possibilities: (remember we will not have 2º round in the next draft)

trade 1:

Cavs: #2
Cats: #4, #24, Cavs´2º round pick 2013

trade 2:

Wizards: #2 and Tyrus Thomas
Cats: #3, Ariza and Wizards 2º round pick 2013.

This would be perfect.

How about both? Hear me out on this one...

Washington's board goes Beal, MKG.
Cleveland's board goes Beal, Barnes.

This is what we do... we do a trade with Washington, something like 2 for 3 + 32 + a 2013 2nd rounder. They do this to ensure they get Beal.

Then we talk to Cleveland saying we are going to take Barnes, Cleveland loses out on both their shooters. MKG is not a shooter, so they risk losing out on both, so they offer the 4 + 24 for the 3. They get Barnes.

At 4, we take ThoR or MKG. We package the 24 and 31 to someone to get back into the mid first to get someone like Terrence Ross (if we take Thor) or Perry Jones (if we take MKG). We take our shooter with 32 - John Jenkins

So we end up with a 2nd rounder next year, plus a lineup of Kemba, Hendo, Ross, ThoR, and Biz. Not a bad 5 to run with under Dunlap, with Jenkins being the Steve Kerr.

If we trade with Cleveland and get #4 and #24, and get T-Rob at #4, I have a hunch that even if a SF like Quincy Miller is there at #24, they will look long and hard at Will Barton at #24. He's moving up the draft boards fast. I know we are thinking of English and a couple other sharp shooters at #31, but I think Barton brings a lot more. He'd be worth the #24 pick. I would however not have any problem taking Miller or Sullinger at #24 and then going with English at #31.

Somewhat OT: That second rounder we traded for Mullens was awarded to Boston today for the Jeff Green debacle.

Apparently it's unprotected. I thought we had protection on it. Oh well. Still prefer Mullens to anything we'd likely get in the 31-40 range next year.

This doesn't seem like a "Cho" move...there has to be more coming. If it's a future first, why not wait until after the draft rather than essentially laying our cards on the table. Seems to me like if we stay at 2 then Barnes is the pick....talk about a bad outcome. Lets not panic yet though, lets play it out.
