This trade is bad news for all the people that didn't want to take a center with the draft pick. This pretty much assures that Meyers Leonard will be the pick, unless the Bucks can trade back again.

So the fact that we traded for a center (who is likely the starter) means it's more likely we draft one? It's not like dropping two spots means everyone is gone, although it probably means we don't get Lamb. I'd be surprised if one of Ross or T. Jones isn't there.

I don't think they will take T.Jones. That would mean they have no chance with resigning Ersan, we have enough 4's. If we take a tweener 3/4 it will be Perry, who looks more like a SF than Terrance. Perry has a great handle and almost looks like Paul George + 2". Plus the kid said he likes Milwaukee which is +gazillion. Terrance looks like a Boozer/Milsap type to me.
Lamb>Waiters>Ross>P.Jones>Harkless IMO.

We just traded for a guy who is 31 and will play < 25mpg, I doubt he'll effect who we draft too much.

It sounds as if the Bucks would draft Terrence before PJIII. And I don't see Boozer or Millsap in Terrence Jones at all. I'd say a better top level ceiling comparison would be a Josh Smith/Lamar Odom hybrid type.

I'm guessing their thinking is Dalembert for a year and then have a Center in place to take over...if they go a Center. Don't love the thinking, but I guess I can see their rationale if they do.

It's the most short-term thinking organization on the planet, so I think it definitely could.

He's already a good liar.

Honestly, if they can somehow get Gooden out of the PF slot, the team could be pretty good (by our standards) next season. But if he's the starting PF, it negates any positives of the offseason.

Cavs want # 2, but don't want to take on T.Thomas's contract.
How about getting into it
Bucks: T.Thomas/4
Cavs: Gooden/2
Bobcats: Gibson/14/34/Bucks 2013 1st (top 3 prot)

Fair point.

They don't want to take Thomas's contract but they'll take Gooden's. Right.

Terrence Jones is likely to be Brandon Bass, it his upside was significantly better he wouldn't around at 14.

Jones and Bass have essentially zero similarities.

Jones is more versatile than either guy. If you want to say he's not going to be a great scorer, I agree. But he's got legit PF size, is athletic, and does a lot of things well.

How is he like Bass or Patterson at all?
He can handle the ball and he has pretty good vision. He's a guy you could probably give a try at SF because of his skill set.

Re: #12, Brockman, Leuer, SL for #14, Dalembert
Jones has an intriguing skill set. Usually the guys who play like him are shorter and lighter. He is indeed a hybrid (skill wise) but he has legit PF size.
The willingness to move down two spots kind of suggests that the Bucks are very interested in a guy that is currently ranked much lower than 12, like last year when they obviously took a real liking to Tobias H. I am thinking Fournier, Barton, Fab Melo, R White, the Kentucky Lamb, etc.
If they had their hearts set on T Ross, J Lamb, etc I can't see them agreeing to this trade a day before the draft, as opposed to when they were on the clock. I think our pick tomorrow is going to be a little bit of a surprise to those here that adhere to the mock rankings.
