I wouldn't have a problem trading for the Celtics' picks. Take a PF (would prefer White, would accept Sullinger or Moultrie) and a SG (would prefer Wroten, would accept Barton), Machado in the 2nd, and call it a day. Get the center next year.

per Chad Ford
Perry Jones III may be sliding down the draft due to a meniscus issue in his knee, according to multiple sources.

Opinions from league doctors vary in terms of the seriousness, but it may require surgery down the road.

Billy Duff, Jones' agent, declined to comment on the situation.

Why don't they just stay at #14 and buy a late 1st like a normal team? If these late 1st's were so valuable why didn't they get one for one of their vets at the deadline? I don't know why anyone wanted to tank for a higher pick Hammond would have turned Davis into 4 declining vets, cash, and 2 picks in the 20"s anyway.

I'd take 16 and 18 to move down... but not 20/21.

I would actually prefer 16 and 18.

Yeah, I would have rather had 16 and 18 in the trade yesterday.

If only...

Kohl and his cronies do have a history with Grunfeld, so that could help theoretically.

I could see us taking back Blatche + whatever for salary purposes, while, offering Monta, #14, and one of Sanders / Udoh / Harris / Moute.

If we have both Gooden and Blatche there's no way we are bringing back Ersan, but you gotta do what you gotta do to bring in a top 5 talent in a draft like this in my mind.

How much would it cost to buy a late first? I think we got 1.5 mil from Houston. Would love to pick up an extra first for a guy like Miller.

T Jones/Miller would be a nice haul

Grunfeld is terrible at his job, worse than Hammond, that helps in dealing with them too.

Exactly. Toss out next year's #1 with minimal protection to move up. If you only put #1 overall protection on the 2013 pick, you protect yourself against losing out if win the lotto and "LeBron" is there. That is the big protection you really need. But if you get a top 5 pick this year in exchange for what might be a pick in the 2-5 range next year, who cares. This franchise is on life support right now.

This team is still completely irrelevant to the vast majority of SE Wisconsin unless they come away tonight with one of those top five guys. The sixth guy Drummond might get some interest also. But after that, everyone will be asking about Packer training camp by 11pm tonight.

Buy a pick? Bucks can't do it. They are saving that money for a special occasion, like Kamen or Jamal Crawford.

I'm not sure how the Wizards would value draft picks now that they have such an absurd-level mandate to win now.

That Okafor and Ariza deal was crazy even by Herb Kohl standards. When we picked up Gooden and Maggette we at least had reason to believe we were about to turn a corner.

It gives hope that they will value Monta Ellis highly....but they would need to really like whatever other pieces we add to the deal to have us be in the discussion.

Cause the lemmings saw Chad Ford rank him 10 overall.
Hes just a bit better than his teammate Darius Miller who is a 2nd rounder.

yeah Ross will be the pick if hes there, which I would say is 25% or so.
I think Leonard will end up being the pick, but i want PJ3, hopefull we can trade down again and get 2 = players like White/Moultrie or something.

This is why the draft has become so depressing for me. Every year it seems like the Bucks have numerous options to make a big meaningful move. Whether it is rumors from media or league sources, or just random fan speculation, I always fall for it and cling to the hope that this is the year they do the right thing. Of course in the end they never make the bold move and try for greatness. Instead they play it safe and settle for mediocrity. No reason to do it differently, I guess. Great players aren't needed when average is the goal. No need to aim too high. Don't want to over shoot in the attempt for the 8th seed.

Just complete nonsense. Terrence Jones and Darius Miller are nothing alike talent-wise or any other way.

Cleveland is about to have an Irving/Beal backcourt. We need something along the lines of Jennings/Muhammad to compete.

Yeah its just weird how 8 weeks ago when we got the 12, everyone was praying Lamb/Waiters or PJ3 would fall to 12 and T.Jones was never even mentioned. I guess the combine/workouts change things, but none of us saw the workouts, and T.Jones did nothing at the cmbine to make him pass PJ3 physically. Kentucky players just scare me other than Davis. Its easy to look good and be efficient on a FAB-6 Team. Even MKG will end up being a James Posey type.

They're only getting Beal if they move up to #2, which is exactly what they should do.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
