In 2006, I wanted two players. Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. I had been watching LaMarcus every single game of his Texas career and knew he was going to be a great player, admittedly, he and Roy were both better than I thought.
Every draft since then I haven't liked the Blazers choices. Hated Martell and Bayless. Was pissed we passed on Blair (screaming at the television) and was frustrated that we took Nolan over Faried (everyone was, but it was part of the Felton deal). Understood the Babbitt choice, cause that draft seemed pretty weak in general and the kid was a lights out shooter, which we needed.
This draft, other than the obvious Beal, Robinson, and Davis... there were two guys I wanted. I've wanted Meyers all along, but Lillard took a bit of time for me to warm up to. After getting to know Lillard a bit more, it was a obvious that he was a great pick. Leonard has gotten way better since his freshman year, and if he were utilized better, would've been a top 5 pick. If he stays healthy, he's going to be really good.
What I'm trying to say is, I think this will easily be the best draft since 2006, and could be similar in it's results, maybe not AS good (that draft was amazing), but close. The Blazers did exactly what I wanted them to do, just like then. I'm confident and stoked, can't wait for them to shut the haters up, and they will.

Edit: Just realized Martell was '05. Oh well. The point stands.
The NBA, where 5 on 8 happens.
