yep. not sure why they would want cousins anderson and robinson though. they have other needs at sg/sf

regardless of what Dwight does, i'd have thought that getting an expiring for him would be in the best interest of the team?

Hedo is worse. For one, he's already been on several different teams where it didn't work out, so new teams won't think "Oh maybe it'll work here". Two, he's not a big man. Three, he's not a top SG. Four, he's OLD.

Get it while it's hot folks, this bag of turds is still steaming:

How can someone claim to be a sports writer when they can’t even add up a grocery bill? How do Howard, Johnson, DWill + Turkoglu/Davis fit under the cap? Why would the Magic take a bunch of average players (Humphries + Brook Lopez) or more overpaid talent (Gerald Wallace)? Oh, and 4 future picks in the 25-30 range look really atractive… Plus why would Gerald Wallace agree to this?

Break the deal into two pieces — one while Nets are under the cap, the other when they are over.

How can they include Gerald Wallace in this trade?

Sign-and-trade. Gerald has 40 million reasons to be cool with it.

Uh, they’ve already verbally agreed on $40M/4 years for him to play in Brooklyn. How do you suppose that conversation is gonna go?

“Actually, Gerald, we know we already said we’d pay you that to play for us….but instead, how about we pay you that to play for an awful Orlando team. Sound good?”

This must be linkbait. No one is this dumb.

No way in hell the Magic take Wallace and his 40m contract even if it was allowed (which is isn’t). Nor would they spares Lopez, Humphries and Brooks.

Why would Orlando do that? They get no salary cap relief, no young good players, and no stars.

How would the Nets have a functioning team with only 3 players under contract?

This is the most idiotic thing I have read today, and I’ve read quite a bit.

Not linkbait, my friend. It is the real deal, otherwise I wouldn’t have reported it. And by the way, Brooks, Lopez are good young players. Hump is a double-double machine. Multiple No. 1s are the gravy. Nets taking back Turk/Davis is the cap relief. Brooklyn fills in pieces around Big Three with mini mid-level and vet minimums.

If we can S&T Ryan for Tyreke, I would be ecstatic!

Bucher: They (Howard's camp) didn't see this (JJ trade) coming...The Dallas Mavericks now take the pole position on getting Dwight Howard.

Sheridan's idea. Trade Dwight for Lopez and Brooks. Then trade Turk/Davis for Gerald Wallace and Kris Humpries. Plus the nets' draft pick, which will be like the 28th-30th pick.

If Kings want Ryan they DO have incentive to trade for him bc even though they are under cap, Magic still have right to match. Only way to assure getting him is via trade :)

Did I say to trade him to the Mavs? No. I'm simply stating that him having any team he wants to be on that will have cap space reduces his trade value to OTHER "rental" teams because it gives him outs. Plus if this keeps up there's no way the Magic play it out for the whole year and have this circus all over again all year IMO

So now Ric Bucher has created the Mavs story again .. I can already predict tomorrow night's buzz:

"Sources say Dwight Howard has requested a trade to the Dallas Mavericks"

It's getting old, Dwight/ESPN/Bucher :-?

After that it's gonna be the Lakers .. Maybe the Knicks or wherever Dwight wants to play, untill "his camp" wants Dwight to play for a team that has something Hennigan wants ..

His camp should STFO

Return to Orlando Magic
