The thing is he thinks his 11/6 is world beater and deserves a starting role. At his age he won't be happy coming off the bench. If he wasn't happy spelling Lawson at Denver, what made you think he would be happy with Lin. I can imagine he whine to Woodson and his buddy Amare in the locker room every day already.

Do not want for the MME. We need that 3 mio to go after a big.

Sign him (unlikely) or Prigioni (probably) for the vet min or try to do a (sign-and) trade for another backup PG (maybe Jack or Sessions). But please save the MME. After missing on Nash, I want me some "Camby-Man".

Difference is that Felts would come here already knowing the situation with Lin. This time it would be *his choice*. If he really isn't ok with that, he can just go somewhere else.

With the Denver trade, Felts had just signed up with us to be the starting PG on a playoff bound team. We kind of screwed him over (though of course that is part of the biz) by trading him half-a-season later, and into a situation not of his own choice where he was given a much lesser role. He reacted badly, and that's a negative (no denying it). I just don't think we are looking at anything like the same situation this time around, because this time around Felts is getting to make his own choice.

I'd rather take a look at the argentinian for the minimum and use the cash for Felton on a 2 guard.

I have no prob with Felton coming back, but I would like to get a 2 guard that isn't named Sonny Weems

He probably thinks we are not gonna match Lin's offer? I think he's probably the best option out there as a starter if we don't re-sign Lin. But as a backup, I would rather have some old veteran ala Baron Davis who is happy on the bench, rather than a 28 year old who is known for messing up chemistry because he wants to be a starter to get a big pay day.

Felton is a real team player. Can't wait to get him on our team.

McMillan's firing comes a day after ESPN's Chris Broussard reported that Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford were organizing a mutiny against McMillan after he took issue with their performance in a video session.

"Either the Blazers find a new home for Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford (who have quietly orchestrated a mutiny ever since Nate McMillan chewed them out in a video session a while back) or they'll probably have to let Nate go. If I'm a Blazer fan ... I'd rather lose Felton and Crawford. They won't get a lot for either guy, but there is such a thing as addition by subtraction," Broussard said in his ESPN.com chat on Wednesday.

Guys, Felton just came off of the worst season of his career. He knows he's not starting. He knows he has to prove himself again in this league.

Lin will be the starting PG of the Knicks this season. It seems that everyone but people on this board know that.

If 12/7 is a 28 year old PG's worst season, he can't be that bad. Guys are acting like Felton is Jamison Brewer and can't play. Felton is a good PG. He's proven it.

You're acting like stats mean anything when you are the PG. His team was horrible, he was out of shape, and he shot like crap. All this while organizing a mutiny against the coach because his feelings were hurt.

Felton has a lot to prove now. He will be the backup, as he should be.

I'm not concerned with Felton's ability at all. His attitude worries me. Particularly when he's a backup or feels his minutes aren't there. I think it's a legit concern but I"m pretty happy he's back. IF his attitude is right, I'm really happy.
Really wanted Nash or Kidd or Miller but this was my 4th choice, along with Delonte.

Like I said in the other Felton thread, I'll take Raymond as a backup, no problem. If he comes in decent shape and with a good attitude, he's a steal off the bench.

The thing with Ray is that is never a given

Oh, and last post in this thread, I'll post or comment no more about Felton until he is wearing a Knick hat in a press conference.
