45% through the month of January is chucking efficiency level? Then he got hurt and his %'s went down but that's obviously going to happen. Not to mention he can create his own shot and has a ton of offensive weapons. Older rookie doesn't mean much to me in terms of their playstyles. Brooks doesn't hoist up 30 foot shots like Crawford or take highly contested 20 footers like Young does. Both of them have scoring ability they just don't use it properly. Brooks was using it properly till he got hurt.
45 percent for a month? That's not impressive. I'm just not impressed by a guy with a 12.9 PER and a .502 TS. I need to see more.
But you'd rather have a guy who put up a worse PER and has been moved almost every season he's been in the league despite all the so called intangibles he may or may not have? I'm not saying Brooks is gonna turn into Kobe or anything but Lee isn't any better and that's going to be especially true going forward.
It has nothing to do with me liking Brooks, cause I couldn't really care less about him. It's about people wanting Lee and then saying he'd be so much better to have then Brooks which blows my mind. For the same price Brooks will prove to be a more valuable player in this league than Lee will.
