That's not to say that Miami is ever without talent on the floor when the entire Big 3 is playing, because obviously that's a lot of talent, but simply that "running a great" play is not going to close the gap between the offensive efficiency of Udonis Haslem compared to the offensive efficiency of James Jones. UDs screens and offensive rebounds only make up so much ground on James Jones' spacing effects, especially when Jones is being guarded by a 4.
Again, I do think we should have a legit 7 footer with some heft on our roster, just that, I think it was rightly not our top priority given who was available at our price.
Yeah I agree with this also. It's a desirable option to have, especially to shake things up. I'd have loved Camby here, but the guy values money so we couldn't get him. Riley was right to prioritise guys like Ray first, because at least we could get him.
Still, I'm hoping we at least take a look at Mahinmi, or maybe even Kwame. I'd be annoyed if they got a minimum elsewhere (if they get more, fair play). Because I don't see much in Pittman, and we shouldn't hold out much hope for a late 2nd round draftee whom 29 other teams passed on.
