That's how it appears to me. They are stockpiling to have depth at all positions to handle injuries. I don't see why this indicates not matching for Lin. They probably considered Felton the best form of insurance at PG among remaining free agents.
He certainly is not as impactful or diverse in skills as Lin and I cannot see how the organization would consider Felton a better choice with comparable upside. It only comes down to money, but on talent Felton is still better as a backup and probably will at times play the 2 guard next to whomever is running the point. Same can be said for Lin playing with the other PGs.
Even with this news, I would still be very surprised if Lin is not a Knick. There is not good reason not to match. We'd be a very stupid franchise if we don't and he reaches all-star status elsewhere (and fukoff trolls I don't need your idiotic replies that Felton is better).
Nah. Fatton can't play off the ball. Lin is not a SG either. Kidd can. But we also brought the Argentinian as well.
Add to that all these contracts add up to a catastrophic amount in year 3.
Lin is gone.
