I don't see how Felton is a better fit. He played well the 1st time he was here with Amare but this is Melo's team now. I don't see him playing as well this 2nd time around especially without D'Antoni

Because I don't think the Rockets want this on their books either, since it hamstrings them with Melo. This whole offer sheet process is absolute crap and rigged with nonsense.

So maybe -- small chance -- they're trying to force Lin into taking it back because he probably doesn't want to be in Houston. But this is a conspiracy theory.

You mean hamstrings them from getting Howard right? But I see what you are saying.

Let's hope for the best. Still 2 days for the Knicks to step back from the cliff's edge.

If the worst happens, you soldier on. Life has disappointments and tragedies -- this would be both but it's just sports lol -- I just feel bad for Knicks fans. We deserved a lot better.

I hope things change in the next 48. I'll be checking in occasionally.

Considering how much money Lin made and will make the Knicks, yes he is.

Basketball wise he is not.

MARKETING WISE HE'S WORTH MORE.

Which makes it silly not to keep him. If we let him walk we get nothing in return and if we keep him Dolan actually makes profit from his marketability. I don't get what the Knicks are trying to pull.

If this is true it reflects poorly on Melo.

He plays defense, runs pick and rolls with Amare, and most importantly is wired as a distributer

There's an article out there with stats by Synergy posted on ESPN.com that proves otherwise. (http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_ ... s-lin-sane) So you can either choose to believe what you believe, or believe the stats. I admit, stats can lie too. But since I'm a stats person, I'll choose to believe what the stats say. And they say Lin is actually a better fit.

problem with those stats is they were in Feltons worst year and probably Jeremy Lins best. He's not going to be out of shape next season and should be much improved.

Also says that Felton hit the roll man (Amare) in Pick and Rolls while Lin usually hits spot up shooters. We need to get Amare involved, so like I said, better fit

Well, this was basically Lin's rookie year so unless you don't believe he will improve, I guess you could say that. I definitely think Lin will improve. Also who knows what shape Felton is going to be in? If he's fat now, it already signals a lack of motivation.

i posted this in another thread and I'm curious how you guys feel about this.

I hate to say things like this, but ever since the middle of this past season this has been glaringly obvious to me: If Lin was black rather than Asian, SAS would LOVE him. Would absolutely LOVE him. It's not a question in my mind. If there was a young black PG who averaged 18 and 8 in 25 games as a starter, SAS would absolutely be drooling. But he is Asian, so SAS considers him a marginal player.

So is it completely unrealistic to think that fan backlash can influence Dolan's decision? And if so, what's the best way for us to be part of that backlash? Maybe we should scrap #fireisola and start with #matchlin? Just a thought.

Question: If the Knicks sign Lin. How hard is it to trade him with a poison pill 3rd year? Will other teams have to fork out 14.9 million for the 3rd year like we will or can they average out the remaining years like Houston could?

Not to mention Felton got fat and lazy.
Lin has more upside and is better than him in pretty much every regard.

I'd match the offer and give Lin 5 minutes a game just to stick it to him and these bandwagoners, then trade him next year.
