Felton is a chucker.. dude is lazy and out of shape.. He may have some decent games, but he's already a product. you know what you're getting.
Lin a hard worker, dude relentlessly attacks the basket.. he's got a ton of heart and isn't afraid of taking the big shot. very marketable and has a ton of upside..

What is the jersey? A parasitic, corporatized entity headed by a petty, childish, insecure drunk? Face it, that's the "jersey" at this point. It's demonic to root for this team.

But the way I see the current situation is that Glen Grunwald is skating circles around other GM's, even the "brainiac" Morey. The Raptors and Rockets tried to play us by jacking up the price on our players, and both got stuck holding the bag. So much for Morey's brilliant plan of not overpaying players who aren't "franchise cornerstones." With the Felton deal, Grunwald owned him so bad. Felton may actually be better than Lin for all we know. I'm by no means a Lin hater, but he's being tendered a contract that will pay him 15 MILLION DOLLARS on the back end. This based on what, twenty-something odd games in MDA's speedball, no-D system?
Keep up the good work Glen GODwald.
lol Felton's only good season was under "MDA's speedball, no-D system"... Even then he still only mustered a 17 PER. Jeremy's PER was almost 20 last season, including the games he was under Woodson and on the bench.

+1. But people with little character or conviction will rarely stick to their word. I'll bookmark this thread for future reference, but I suspect that most of these guys are just overly emotional children.
I've been a fan for over 30 years and this hardly registers as a blip. This is coming from a huge Jeremy Lin fan.

Anyone who voted yes should be ashamed of themselves and in all honesty should stop watching the Knicks right now regardless of whether we match lin or not. People over here being fans of players instead of the team. SMDH Pathetic.

Re: Done with NYK if Lin is not matched ?
On the real though, Dolan and company seem to think that they're invinceable and that NY will always be a Knicks town, which most people agree with. With that said, this offseason has been a perfect storm and if they're not careful people are gonna start switching hardcore. If the Knicks **** up for another ten years and the Nets continue to be managed better (theyre a team in Brooklyn owned by Jayz? They have a real opportunity to be the coolest franchise in sports), then why the hell would a kid choose to become a Knicks fan over a Nets fan?
The second tier NY teams (Jets, Mets) are teams that have continually been mismanaged while their counterpart's front offices are run far more efficiently. Now that this is year 1 of there being 2 NY teams, why would the Knicks not fall to 2nd over time if they prove to be the continually mismanaged team?

I think people are misunderstanding why some people claim they'll be done with the team if Lin isn't matched. It's not about Lin, it's about the stupidity and incompetence of our ownership and management.

A) Felton was good for a few weeks. He still can't run the pick and roll, takes bad shots, and isn't great at finishing or a good passer.
B) He was a disappointment in Charlotte. Good stretch in NY, terrible elsewhere.
C) It's about EVERYONE. We need EVERYONE.

A) Felton's pick and roll play has one advantage over Lin's that bodes well for us, he hits the roll man more often while Lin hits the spot up shooters outside (granted I'm going off of that article comparing Lin to Felton last season only). That means Felton's PnR game could help Amare a lot. Beyond that, they had similar passing efficiency last season. Lin was really just a superior scorer off the PnR...so it's not like there's a massive discrepancy.
B) He was a disappointment in Charlotte because of his high draft position. That doesn't mean he "sucked"...he was solid, always has been minus last season. He was solid for Denver too, not good but decent.
C) Give me 3 positional upgrades and 1 downgrade (that's not even a certain down grade) over one guy who might, maybe develop into a star on a max contract.
D) Then how come you weren't pissed at this organization long ago, because that's RIDICULOUS as a premise for hope.

This
What you guys fail to understand is that as Fans the management has a responsibility to their customers .
This move doesn't make us better, our owner is rich and has paid way more for much less in the past.
Lin got paid 700K last Season but probably generated 700Milliom dollars
He was given to us for nothing and to lose him for nothing is irresponsible and unforgivable

Am I done? Of course not. Would i be disgusted by it? Absolutely. This is just pure foolishness. We over pay absolutes scrubs and cancers for a decade. But then refuse to spend money on Lin. I hope Dolan gets hit by a truck.
