What phag.

Did you even read the article?

"They have experience, depth and happen to be two guards capable of running the show for a team with two stars in Amare and Melo who will want the ball when they are called upon to step up and play like stars.

Lin is no scrub. He can play. The Knicks, undoubtedly, will acknowledge this.

But while doing so, they should just make sure to ask two questions of anyone who thinks Lin deserves such an exorbitant amount of money:

What exactly did 25 games prove?

And when did Jeremy Lin -- in Year 3 of this deal -- become the second coming of Chris Paul?"

25 games is enough for some people to believe he's worth a max deal. This board is infected with morons.

He isn't a fluke, but he isn't the second coming either... He's going to be an average to good player. I don't think he'll ever reach that 'next' level or even be Ty Lawson. But he's fundamental and works hard. I'd love him back, but we're not lost without him.

As the regular season waned and Lin was recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery, there were numerous occasions when members of the Knicks, on all levels, questioned what was going on. With their backcourt decimated, desperate for some infusion of relief, time and again players, coaches, even Madison Square Garden executives looked over and asked privately, "Do you think he could give us 15 minutes?"

Wonder which teammates? Could it be the 2 who's maturity has been questioned throughout their entire careers?

Chew on that for a while...

and...........................

what was the average age on the celtics when they won it all? what was the average age on the heat last year? what does your statement mean?

That's completely different. The Celtics aged well and had a big 4, and Heat have the big 3. You can't honestly tell me that Melo, Amare and Chandler are a big 3. Zero chemistry.

And just so you know, the Heat's avg. age was 27.5, and the Celt's avg. age was 26.8, so I'm not sure what you're trying to prove.

so your saying Melo, Amare. Tyson arent a big three......smh
maybe a under performing big three but none the less still a big 3

What's wrong is thinking that Fatty Felton will be a suitable replacement for a team that is going all in to win in the next 3 years.

lin isn't **** crying if we don't match. the point is, we should match because it's good for us, not because it's good for lin or any bull like that. that's the whole point.

Not going to lie, but I never liked SAS. He is annoying. In this article, I disagree with him. His Headline for one sucks:

Knicks must let Jeremy Lin go

He is just trying to get attention. Then he flowers his article with trying to give him some credit.

Dolan and Grunwald just created a effing mess. All they had to do was just match Lin, and nobody was going to ask Melo or Jr about there thoughts on the deal.

But now if the Knicks dont match (all most certain this will happen), the fans are going to create hell, Melo and Felton are going to be in immense scrutiny about everything they do.

IF the Knicks match (wont happen), then LIn and JR/Melo probably wont get along!

I can't believe that dude called Lin a pass first point guard.

His passing ability didn't make Linsanity.

SAS really has no basis to be doling out luxury tax advice. The team was fine with Houston's first offer, and this is only a $5m difference. When you factor in that $4m of that is going to Felton, who we wouldn't need if we kept Lin, it's clear that this is not financially motivated. All this over $1m? Please....

There will be pressure without Lin anyway. And they'd get along fine with Lin if he's brought back. You sound like someone trying to sell newspapers...

The Nets, and what Lin was able to do will put pressure to win games... Not Melo and JR reacting. Stop it.

Exactly, Knicks are already over the payroll. With the caliber of players the Knicks have, winning the championship should be the only acceptable result. Replacing Lin with Fatty Felton is not the way.
