We have been saying that for the past 4 seasons.
have they had a real training camp since we got Melo?

Felton will come into camp in shape and motivated. He knows he has to perform here or we'll just ship his punk ass out again.
Those stats don't account for the fact that Lin just runs the PnR much better.
They also don't show that Felton averaged 37 mins a game, while Lin averaged 26 MPG.
So in reality, those stats are useless
Woodson is our coach now. How many P&R's do ATL run?

The fans LOVE LIN. He turned into the Jeter of the Knicks. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would see them let him go

Rebuild the Knicks.
My trades keep getting rejected and I'm out of assets. Too life like, lol.

It is unconscious racism or call it statistical bias if you prefer. Somehow, after breaking every record in the league, he still has doubters.
Probably. The kid's game has physical flaws, but physical flaws can be corrected. Low IQs can not be corrected and the Knicks have too many of those, including their new point guard.
Jeremy Lin played well enough after Anthony came back that you knew he belonged. He just needed to correct a few flaws.

CoolKids wrote:I agree Lin is the better PG but as a starter in 34 mpg Lin averaged 18.2 ppg 7.7 apg 4.7 topg compared to 17.1ppg 9.0 apg 3.3 topg for Felton so the stats are comparable

That is all I personally care about.
Jeremy Lin's youth, upside, intelligence, humbleness and winning attitude just wasn't a good fit on the Knicks roster.
markdeez33 wrote:In my opinion, Felton had Amare playing BEAUTIFUL pick n roll basketball. It was the most fun I've had post-2010 free agency. We started the year off bad, then everything began to click.
I know we kind of had a rehash of that same scenario with Lin last year, but it just seems to me he wants to be the "man" on a team. He gets that opportunity in Houston.
We have to bring in players that are gonna maximize the talents of our superstars. Jason Kidd has proven he can play with Tyson Chandler, now its time to prove he can make Melo/Amare work. Felton has proven he can get Amare numbers and doesn't do too bad for himself along the way, either.
I think having 2 ball handlers like Kidd & Felton on this team will be HELL for defenses. We now have 2 guys who can get Melo/Amare/Tyson the ball in their spots.
And the beauty of it all??? We get a FULL training camp to work out all the kinks.
NO MORE SEVEN SECONDS OR LESS.
NO MORE D'ANTONI PUTTING THE SHOT CLOCK ON SEVEN SECONDS IN PRACTICE AND EVERYONE LOOKING LIKE A DUMBASS.
Last year we started the year off with TONEY DOUGLAS as our starting PG. TONEY DOUGLAS!!! This year, we atleast have the luxury of picking either Felton or Kidd or starting them both and seeing what Prigioni has in the tank. This is gonna be fun for me.
I'm excited that we finally have a team full of VETS.

Really? Our most tenured Knick has only been here 2 seasons.
