Also I'd say I'm somewhere in the middle, I will always love Nash as a player and a Sun and the basketball he made happen here, but I'll be rooting for him to lose every single game he plays in a Laker jersey and miss the Playoffs every year, let alone a title. Send him to a team besides the Lakers or Spurs and he gets my active support back, and/or when he retires my apprehension will go away as well (unless he forever identifies himself as a Laker, then we're back where we started)

This is exactly how i feel.

I sympathise with poor old BH because he lives right there in the trenches - he must have to endure (Please Use More Appropriate Word) bandwagon Lakers fans on a daily basis. Probably doesn't help the situation :(

I completely understand where BH is coming from - very easy to agree with everything he said.

Lakers won't get Dwight and, thus, won't be invincible. I fully expect a #2 Lakers vs. #7 Suns mathcup in round one to be a wild f-ing ride.

And honeslty, I think our little small market team is going to be drastically underrated. In my mind, we'll be as good (and definately more deep) than any team outside of the top 3 (OKC, LAL, SAS) - with a chance to take any of those teams down on any given night.

I'm glad Nash went where he wanted. I'm glad we got assets back. And I'll be glad when he's going up against our new franchise PG in the playoffs. If anything, the rivalry is even larger.

I agree with every word, but I'm also convinced (and have been for the last 2 years) that Dwight Howard will be a Laker. Whether two days from now, two weeks from now, two months from now, or two years from now. He WILL be a Laker.

So it shall be written, so it shall be done.

Your anger is consuming you. And its not even really a betrayal as the Suns wont be competitive for at least a few years. This is the point you seem to glom over. This is what Steve wanted and Sarver decided to help him get it and we got 4 draft picks in return. Thats it. Thats all it is. Its not some great betrayal as you perceive it.

Just realize you are saying you would rather have Steve be pissed at the Suns for not helping him and the Suns get nothing back in return, Your anger is seriously blinding you.

Yawn. The Lakers and Suns are epic rivals regardless of any current competitive state for either team.

YOU don't seem to grasp that. Clearly you don't hate the Lakers like "we all do", if you're okay with any of this.

When did you start watching basketball? How long have you been a Suns fan?

I don't like being talked down to or having my opinion diminished as "blind anger". My feelings are VERY well-reasoned.

No I do hate the Lakers and anger was my initial reaction similar to yours. Then I stepped back, took a deep breath and thought it through without letting my emotions guide my judgement. You obviously didnt do this and we are just different people. There is a big difference between getting angry and letting your anger consume you.

And for the record i've been a fan since the McCloud era. And I was at Sky Harbor Airport to greet the Suns after returning hom frome beating the Lakers after Paul westphals famous prediction. I was at the dodge theater draft party when Amare got drafted. Just because you cant agree with or understand my position doesnt mean you have to start questioning my fanhood (which is your usual method). We're still all on the same team, im a Suns fan for life.

This isn't emotion speaking. If emotion was speaking, I wouldn't be able to say anything because I was literally speechless for a few days. My words come after days of thinking. Just because you don't agree with where I'm coming from doesn't mean I'm just some irrational nutcase.

And just because I asked you a question doesn't mean I'm questioning your fanhood. And I'm not sure how often I've asked questions for you to proclaim such bull like "which is your usual method".

The fact that you live in LA probably doesnt help much either being surrounded by Laker fans lol. We are just going to have to agree to disagree I think.
