The Thunder had Wetbrook, Durant and Ibaka in 2008/2009 and won 23 games. They ultimately got Harden with the 3rd pick I believe.
You can have good young players, even a championship core, and be in play for the #1.

The Thunder drafted Ibaka in 2008 but didn't sign him until 2009. The 2008-2009 Thunder team also did not have players like Lin, Asik, Dragic, or Parsons. They were also only two great young players on a bad team. You are boasting about four invaluable young players. I don't see the comparison here.
