The Heat will win the east this year and next and I've no problem admitting that....there is no team taking out Miami in a playoff series in the east but considering the make up of the Lakers it'll be a nightmare matchup for Miami. It pretty much stiffles the Heat offense while having to guard Nash+Bryant+Gasol+Howard. I've hated the Lakers ever since the Shaq and Kobe era but no team is gonna threaten that. The Heat's major advantage was Lebron and to a lesser degree Wade getting to the paint almost at will and converting on layup after layup. Good luck with that against Howard/Gasol. Once a team like the Lakers is able to guard the paint like that you'll have big time trouble finding open shots for Allen,Battier,Miller...and once these guys start to have to hit contested shots it's over. This is no doom and gloom, this is pretty realistic as far as I'm concerned. I've been watching this league for 20 years now and have never seen a team consisting of 4 legit all-star with 4 top 5 players at their position teaming up together.
at least he came out and said he was a knick fan
and i see nothing in this post that is troll worthy
it's absolute truth
the heat offense is predicated on LBJ/Wade getting to the rim, collapsing the defense and kicking it out for wide open shots
or LBJ post up, get doubled and kick it out for open shots
i don't see how they're going to be able to that against LA, at least not as effectively as they'll be able to do it against everyone else
LBJ/Wade will have to take nash/kobe out of the game and even then LA is going to annihilate MIA on the offensive boards (which is how LA won titles in 09 and 10)
