I'm not high on Waiters either. Too many red flags.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I didn't have 3 guys I wanted, I had one guy. And for once you folks didnt' take him before I picked.
Thank you.

Korver was my #2 after Harris. I can't believe he fell to 191. I can't think of too many starters guaranteed 25 minutes left on the board. He's only great for three's, but won't hurt in many other areas.

Can one of the mods fix the pick list on the first page of the draft thread to reflect this trade with Woody?

Confirmed.
Waiters became expendable when I got Lee, so I didn't mind losing out a bit on the trade.
are u frigging kidding me lol. I said give me the best deal you can possibly make and you offered:
Waiters
for
Mullens+187
and now you do this? I think Curtis really knows everybody's dirty secrets so that he gets such deals. or just he emails everyone so many times that, at the end he comes across a great deal.

May as well post my top 10.
PG - Rondo
SG - Iggy
G - Felton
G - Barnes
SF - Korver
PF - Faried
F - Gee
F -
C - Bogut
C - Asik
U - Valanciunas
-------
U - Camby
U -
U -
By my eye that's 10 guys who will start in the NBA. Considering there are 150 starters and 20 teams in here each FFL team should have 7.5 starters on average. I feel pretty good about that.
Also, I traded the pick that turned into Jason Kidd. That trade down eventually ended up being Marcus Camby. I think it'll be interesting to see which NY dino gets the most run/stats this year.

I have no idea how you have 10 starters, especially with Camby there. there are 2 or 3 more debatable ones as well, but how on earth will Camby start?

Camby is my 11th guy. Wasn't counting him among the starters.

I debated between Camby and AR and another couple of guys for my final top10 guy, who I wanted to have C eligibility.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
Camby was a pretty hard decision for me. He's just so old. But, I couldn't see the younger guys I was looking at either get more minutes or be more productive in those minutes than Camby.
So, I go with the ancient one.

yah i pretty much agree, except possibly for AR. AR is still young (still!) and Karl may be the guy for him. We'll see I guess.

I thought about Camby at 190 but he's really only going to get 15 mpg.
My decision was between White and Magette, I think Magette would probably be the safer pick but White's ceiling was higher. Plus Magette's main strengths are points and Ft%, and my team is already strong in points. Ft hasn't been a focus of mine

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
He may only get 15 minutes, I don't think that's a terrible assumption, but he's probably good for 6.5-7 boards, .6 steals, and .9 blocks in 15 mintues. He's so productive.
Obviously I wish I could have drafted a productive guy getting 35 minutes a night, but, I think those folks are gone. There are still some starters who will get 25 min and be semi productive. But, for my catagories Camby was just a better fit.
My only problem is that I now have 4 guys who look to only have C eligibility. That's going to cost me some man games down the road.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
I was pretty disappointed in Maggette last year. He was the default #1 option on his team and couldn't ever seem to get it going. Even when he did have a good game it was usually followed by 2 weeks of injury.
Not saying he won't be better this year, but, I didn't care for him last year.

I only have 1 guy with c eligibility so we should talk.

ah sorry, didnt see that Utility Valanciunas, counted wrong. but still I think there are 3 more guys in that roster that may not start or lose their starting job midway through

Yeah, I can't argue with that. I think those 3 are likely starters though.

Re: FFL - 2012-13 - Draft in progress
I very nearly took Budinger. I am not high on Roy this year, and there are also mintues to be had at the 3 for Chase. His minutes look good to me.
Bad thing is that he just isn't that productive even when he gets minutes. Not a bad pick here though.
