Wilt had sex with 20,000 women. Think about how many push-ups that is... I bet Wilt had strong arms, among other things. :uhoh:

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

You guys must watch this ish.

The footage is from Wilt's LA days where he had messed up knees and was a shell of his former self, but he still jumped higher than anyone in the league.

:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

He could bench 500. I'd bet on it.

If what Arnold says is true about him doing 70% more than the body builders, than Wilt could do 500 on a bench.

I don't do too far from half that much, and guys of a taller size have a strength plateau advantage, so I can definitely see Wilt doing 500 with all of the stories. Somewhere, there's footage of Dwight doing 350 or so.

What is a strength advantage plateau?
Guys that are taller have a DISADVANTAGE in that they have to move the weight a greater distance from chest to full arm extension. You have no idea what you're talking about.

I know Wilt was a freak athlete, but I'm calling BS on him benching 500 pounds. I'd like to find video footage of the tallest guys ever to bench 500 pounds. I would bet if we were to find some, their frames would be much different than Wilt's.

Dwight Howard doing 350 proves nothing. The jump from ~350 to ~500 is astronomical.

Uhhhh it's common BB knowledge... plateau's are where you typically can't go much higher in weight..... or it's incredibly difficult (without roids). Tall guys have an advantage, not disadvantage. And wingspan is a disadvantage but the bigger body is much more of an advantage than wingspan is a disadvantage.

I know what a strength plateau is. Understood. When you can get to a certain point and stall.

You are extremely misinformed if you think that taller guys have an advantage on BENCH PRESS. That is what I am talking about here. I say no way that Wilt could bench press 500 pounds. Does Manute Bol have a more IDEAL body frame for bench press over Warren Sapp?

Wilt was a freak of nature. Open your mind. Why would people make things up about Wilt, but not about any other player? Because Wilt was a freak of nature.

Research any other celebrity or famous figure from Wilt's time (60's and before) and you will find similarly absurd stories.

an excerpt from writerman's book on wilt:

in 1974, wilt chamberlain was in london and he noticed that the time was wrong on big ben. so he jumped up and fixed it. he then noticed a busload of tourists headed for stonehenge were stranded with engine problems. so he picked up the bus and ran them over to the site. just for fun, wilt picked up the massive stone blocks and arranged them in a tower-like formation, then tried to remove each piece without it all toppling over. a hasbro executive who was on the stonehenge tour thought this was a great idea for a game. so he scaled it down, put it in a box and called it "jenga", after the 5 women wilt had sex with (jackie, evelyn, natalie, gianna, ashley) at the top of the stonehenge tower he created.

if only Wilt were born in 1988, the hype around him right now would be off the charts...

thats insane disrespect. I really like McGee but Wilt would have dropped 40 on him without breaking a sweat.

theres really nobody in the league right now that would have given Wilt an even matchup inside.

wilt is the greatest athlete of all time, thorpe being second but that's by accomplishment. if we're talking flat out phyisicality, wilt makes everyone else look silly. btw, he also ran the 440 i believe.

in any case, the vid on him going up to contest the shot is a blatant disregard for something called "perspective. however i would've LOVED to have seen him dunk his ft's in college, which culminated in a rule book change in that regard.

My brother-in-law claims Grace Jones went panty-less in a scene in Conan the Destroyer, a la Sharon Stone in Basic Instincts.

Between those guys somebody could confirm, I am sure.

I agree. i disrespect the older players frequently(I'm talking before the mid 70s)but even I have to admit that Wilt would have dominated in this era. His physical tools and all around game are ridiculous...Do I believe he could score 100 today? Heck no.

im not really dissing him, im just basically saying the white guys he played against had no fighting chance. I watched the special on nbatv, everything he did was like in slow motion and not even close to prime shaq. Hes overrated to me. Its like watching the white doods back then dribbling the ball paddle style and its not every impressive lol.
