After his 3rd year, Westbrook/Durant/Ibaka are still going to be locked up in big deals, and he'll be in the exact same position as Harden contractually. Does OKC just do it all over again and trade away Lamb like they did Harden?
For a young franchise that made plenty of money and has great fan support, and not only has a great, championship-caliber core right now, but would have had one no doubt for the next 7+ years, it seems really weird to let a key piece of that core go to save a few bucks.
IDK, Harden being traded like that is still a surprise to me.

deepblueday wrote:if you think gerald wallace at this point is anything more than equal as a player to the GG that played for us last year, then you are vastly overrating the impact of his current floor game and defense, and probably underrating his general scrubiness on offense. i'm praying for improvement, because crash has looked like an apathetic scrub this preseason, can't make a shot, can't create anything, constantly doubled and sagged off. and he sucked for us last year too. i'll be generous and say he's an above average defender since coming to the nets, but it couldn't be more clear his days as a dominant defensive player are long gone.
i guess we'll see if GG can keep up his play from last year, and with increased minutes as well, but i'm not betting against him.
