TOR|DEN

Post#1 » by T-Ross the Boss » Fri Nov 2, 2012 2:00 am

Let's be realistic, Rudy Gay is not happening. So, next best thing? Wilson Chandler or Danilo Gallinari. I don't care who, as long as we get one of those. Denver has a glut at SF, that's pretty damn apparent. They need to shed one of their SFs, I think. We need to acquire one.

So? Let's give 'em an SG, they seem to need one. Let's explore the potential deals available.

DeMar DeRozan for Danilo Gallinari straight up.
DeMar DeRozan for Wilson Chandler+filler(Mozgov? Randolph?)
Terrence Ross, Amir Johnson for Gallinari+filler
Terrence Ross, Amir Johnson for Chandler+Mozgov etc.

Which one is more appealing, Denver fans. Take your pick.

True, but the deal can happen later in the season - possibly at the deadline.

We can work on that last deal then. Possibly add something else. We might be able to acquire something like a late first or early second (low 30s) in exchange for expiring Calderon.

Expirings haven't had this value since 2010.

Saying that these Toronto/Denver trades have been beat to death would be an understatement.

Toronto does not have anything Denver is interested in trading Gallinari or Chandler for. We don't want DeRozan (especially after that extension). We don't want Amir Johnson. And we don't want Ed Davis.

There's no way in gods green earth that you get Gallinari for DeRozan.

Ross + Johnson for Chandler + Mozgov could be a go.

I'm fine with it. Chandler would be a good piece on this team. We'll even throw in a needless 2nd like everyone on this board loves to do. :D

i might have wanted derozan before the extension but not anymore, chandler for ross seems fair. Yes ross was a top 10 pick but his value has plummeted since the draft.

Agreed. DeRozan and Gallinari arent even in the same damn stratoshpere.

Ross+Johnson for Chandler+Mozgov is actually something that could be beneficial to both teams.

The last deal is the only one even just slightly reasonable (I would do it, were I Masai), but the other are just... Let me tell you, I thought this was a joke thread.

Gallo for DD straight up? Don't do drugs, pal.

He's barely been played. The times he has you can see two way ability and room for growth. Watch games before you start talking.

Ross and Johnson for Chandler and Mozgov is actually a pretty good deal, though not sure if Nuggets really want to give up Mozgov like that.

I´ll do Galinari, Randolph for DeRozan, Johnson, 1st Rd Pick (if they got one left...)

DEN: Lawson, DeRozan, Igoudala, Faried, McGee (Miller, Hamilton, Chandler, Johnson, Koufos)
TOR: Lowry, Fields, Galinari, Bargs, Valanciunas (Calderon, Ross, Kleiza, Randolph, Davis)

The lineups are "cool" with the deal, especially the Nuggets aquire much more depth on the PF...

^^^ DD wouldn't start over Chandler. Iggy would stay @SG and Chandler would start @SF.
You're saying you'd be willing to trade the arguable best player on the Nuggets plus a scrub for two players who would ride the bench in Denver?

I bet you're a Raptors fan...

That's garbage. DeRozan is the next Maggette. Randolph is worth more than Johnson IMO. Both are serviceable players, but Randolph is on the much better contract.

You have to give value to get value. Its a very simple concept of two teams agreeing upon a trade where both parties leave satisfied. Easier said than done... If you want gallo, you have to give up someone who has high value. The package would start with JV, Bargnani or maybe even Lowry. That is the minimum offer that the nuggets will even answer the phone to discuss.
