I had to watch on the Kings feed with their announcers and I thought on a few occasions they were pretty negative about the wolves (but they love JJ) and I just kept thinking I wonder if people feel like Jim Pete is this much of a homer. I was amazed at how much crying they did about calls going against the kings (although to be fair they did a lot of statement retracting after seeing replays).

I watched it too and I thought they were actually fair good in terms of commentary teams. They were biased towards their team but not excessively so and the way in which they backtracked on their initial opinions after watching replays was very honest and classy.

If you did not like these guys, wait until you see a Portland game with their announcers... uurrrghhh

Fantasatic defense by the Kings on Pek... I think he is still not 100 percent fit, but Luke,Barea and Roy should still find him more on the post. There were several situations when Pek had a great position and didnt get the pass to play 1 on 1 against his defender...

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed. Guess we don't exist until we get Rubio and Love back. Though, we'll still be under the radar.

Well in their defense, Minnesota v. Sacramento without Love and Rubio is not exactly a marquee matchup and there weren't really any highlight plays from the game either.

Ah. A win. Good thing, since Sacto shouldn't be in the same building with us, much less give us any real competition. I thought everybody did a pretty good job. I assume that our shooters will start hitting shots (if they don't, we have a real problem). Loved watching AK-47. His D, even as hyped as it's been, is very impressive. Also, one of these days you guys are gonna chill out and realize that JJ Barea is awesome.

I think we are going to play a lot of really ugly games until we get Love back, as long as the apparent defensive improvement we have shown so far turns out to be real.It is going to be average to below average offense on our part hopefully combined with our defense making the oppositions offense worse than ours.

As for the game, there were positives. The defensive effort was consistent all game and gave them success, they out-rebounded the Kings 53-43 (and 17-11 on the offensive side...nice) despite missing Love and Rubio, they passed well and only had 11 turnovers, and they went to the basket and got to the line 36 times. The only reason the game was as close as it was, was because guys were cold as hell and missing wide open shots. Pekovic, Budinger, Roy, and Shved are not going to shoot 25% overall and 0%(!) on threes very often.

The positive: 10 blocks. What was the record of blocks in the past season? Wolves was one of the worst teams with blocks and with Stiemsma and Kirilenko this could change radically.

Last year's record must have been a bit more than 10 blocks. 12 would be my guess in that one game where Darko had 7 or 8 blocks alone against the Mavs (IIRC).
