Blatche looked good. Why? Because he ran the center lane hard and challenged every shot he could. He looked pretty good defensively. He'll be reigned in according to how he produces. Its one game so far. Not many teams have his talent coming off the bench at center and he was a big plus overall in this game. Look at Aaron Gray's play in this game for example. I'm more concerned about Marshon Brooks being too comfortable with fadeaway mid rang shots
Lopez was coming much further out on screens. He showed the feet to trap the guard to the baseline instead of letting him turn the corner. He challenged Bargnani at the 3pt line and caused a travel forcing He seems set on covering more of the floor.
Defensive effort was good. It will be a while before the team learns what each other can/will do in different defensive situations. I don't know what Wallace was doing randomly pressuring the ball at the point on a double creating a scramble for the help defenders, but I doubt the coaches know either. Those things will get ironed out.
Deron looks like he finding the balance between game manager and scorer.
This team looks BIG. We outsize most of the league.
Looked talented and sloppy. Brooks was hardly featured - we may be deeper than expected. One game means very little but I bet the win meant a lot to the team.
No he didn't. He was awful. Easily our worst player last night.
